Zayn's POV

They accused Calum and Luke as victims.. They could leave while I was still being questioned. I was pissed, furious! No one could express the hatred I feel towards the police officers.

"You don't understand! I can't leave her side!" I shouted.

"You will calm down, Malik, or we can send you into the jail cell right now!"

I felt my jaw clench and my nostrils flared in pure anger. Could they not see the tattoos on their necks? The police must be behind this as well, or just that one officer, but still, this is complete nonsense.

"I need Sky here. I need her here with me now," I said as calm as I could.

"Why do you need her here?"

This guy I swear, he just wants to make me irritated so I will start yelling again then be in the jail cell, completely helpless for Sky.

"I already told you," I muttered.

"Oh, that Luke Hemmings wants to steal her from you?!"

"Yes, because that's why he's doing this. This is why I'm here!"

The police officer chuckled and I growled lowly, but he didn't hear me. The phone rang and I saw the i.d. name. Just as I thought.. It was Luke Hemmings.

"I knew it! You're working with him!" I yelled.

The officer rolled his eyes and he answered his phone. I tried to get up, but one of my wrists were handcuffed to the bar underneath the table. I groaned in annoyance and I tried to get out of his office, but it was no use.

The officer saw me struggling to get away then he pulled out his gun and aimed it at my forehead. I stopped dead in my tracks. If he killed me, there would be no hope for Sky. Slowly, I sat back down in my seat and I looked straight at the gun.

My mind went blank; I have been at a situation before, but I had a gun and we were farther away than this. One wrong step and I’m dead. My brain splattered against the wall and floor behind me. My life could end.

“I’ll make sure he gets there,” the police officer said.

My eyes glanced from the gun to the police officer then back to the gun. My mind flashed me images of Sky. My beautiful, wonderful Sky. Her smiling, laughing, anything. Even that one time where she was pissed off at me, but I kissed her then she just stopped.

I zoned out while thinking about her, I loved her. It was clear now that I did love her. Then the next thing I knew, I felt this prick of pain on my neck. I flinched a bit and saw that the police officer injected something into me. Soon, everything became blurry and my vision was clouded with black spots.

“I love Sky,” I slurred, quietly before finally becoming unconscious.

When I woke up, I didn’t know where I was, and I couldn’t see anything either. There was cloth over my eyes and I tried to get it off, but something smacked my cheek hard, making me freeze and tense up in shock.

“It’s about time you woke up.”

I clenched my jaw when I heard the person talk, it was an Australian accent. I so desperately wish I was free so I could kick their arse. The cloth over my eyes was taken off and I saw Luke smirking at me. I growled a bit at the sight of him and Luke just laughed.

“So, you protecting Sky went over well, yeah?”

  “Where is she?!” I demanded.

  “She’s perfectly safe—”
