Chapter Twenty-Six

Zayn's POV

My mind has been racing a mile a minute since we arrived at the restaurant. I'm afraid she'll say no and if I chicken out. I really, really, really don't want to chicken out, but me being me, I could see myself backing out. It's sad how I am doubting myself.

   "Zayn? You alright?" Sky asked.

   "Yeah, I'm fine," I smile and kiss her cheek.

We were sitting in the taxi, on the way to the restaurant and Josie was sitting in between us. She gave me a look and I quickly looked away, even though it made me look a little more suspicious.

The car rolled to a stop at the front of the restaurant and waiting outside was Niall and Ed, but Louis , Liam, and Harry were nowhere to be seen. When we got out Niall attacked me into a hug, once again, which caused me to chuckle.

   "Hey, Ni," I said with a smile.

   "Man, haven't been called that in a while."

I smiled a little wider then ruffled his hair before I felt in my pocket for the ring box. Luckily, it was still there and Niall's eyes glittered.

   "You still gonna do this?" He asked.

   "Hell yes," I smiled even wider.

   "Do what?"

I turned around and I couldn't help but smile, really bigly. Wrapping my arms around her waist to pull her closer to me.

   "This," I whispered then I planted a big kiss onto those perfect lips of hers.

The kiss just seemed too perfect and when she pulled away, I broke into a wide smile. Sky broke into a wide smile as well and I pecked her lips again before pulling away from her.

   "Cheesy, mate, cheesy," Niall laughed.

I just smiled as I kept my arm around her waist and Josie came over and tugged on my pants.

   "Daddy, I'm hungry," she whined.

   "We're gonna eat now baby," I said with a smile.

I gave Ed a quick hug before we all walked into the restaurant and suddenly, everything seemed like it was going to be okay. Harry, Louis, and Darcy were sitting at a table and they smiled at us when they saw us. All of the guys know what I'm going to do tonight and it was kind of nice just thinking that I was making this big step in life.

Seconds later, Liam walked in with a girl attached at his hip and I smiled a little bit at him.

  "Sorry I'm late, but this is Danielle," Liam said, gesturing to the girl beside him.

Danielle gave us a small wave then a bright smile. I looked over at Sky and I put my hand on her knee. When she looked over at me she smiled a little bit then I leaned forward to peck her lips.

  "Oh, just ignore those two. PDA is gross, remember?" Liam said with a slight smirk.

I just laughed and I shook my head. Squeezing Sky's thigh a little she bit down on her lip, which she knows makes me go crazy.

  "C'mon, let’s order food!” Niall said as he looked at his menu.

  “Same old Niall,” Liam said with a laugh.

The dinner ended up being a four course meal and let me tell you, I was stuffed to the gills. The food was too delicious so I ate everything on my plate and some of Josie’s food because she only wanted dessert, which was Crème Brulee. Sky did her normal routine of looking in the bottom of the dish to see the little black dots then if it was a little warm. She ate all of it.
