Chapter 3.1 (Maddie's Group Costume) <Maddie's Point of View>

"Girls! Costumes!" Miss Abby called. The dancers and the moms walked into Studio A, where our dance instructor had a bunch of costumes. "First, we have the group. Everyone has a white dress, but they're all different styles. Moms, you must distress the dresses so they look beaten up." Miss Abby showed the girls their dresses and handed them their costume. Finally, Miss Abby pulled out mine. I smiled at it's beauty. It was a white dress that came up halfway from the knee to the upper thigh and had a flower pattern made of holes at the hem of the skirt. Then, it tightened at the waist with a thick white band and puffed out a bit. The top had a curved thick strap that had layering vertical lines coming down from the front of the strap. I took it from her, still smiling.
"Thank you, it's beautiful," I said to Miss Abby. She smiled at me and continued.
