This is my first story on here, so if you have any tips, I'd be grateful.
This story is rated R for later pages, also, if you've seen such a story before, a friend of mine wrote it with me a long time ago and she never finished it, but posted some on here, but abandoned it, so I took it, fixed it up, spellchecked it, changed some things, and here is the outcome.
I sat in my 'cage' at least that's what I called it, it was a small room, one window that overlooked the garden below, I was on the top floor which is the third story my room had a wooden chair beside my small, one person bed, I live in a lab, though anyone on the outside thinks it is a building for homeless teen's.
On the first floor is something that looks like a homeless shelter, I was taken here after my parents died in a car wreak, I was 16 at the time, now I'm 18..
So yeah I've been here for two years, they haven't tried any shots on me yet, all the other teens are almost all gone, yes this is a lab but they do adopt out teens when the shots and medicine don't work.
I am on the waiting list to be tested on, I tried talking my way out of it but they didn't care, I got up from the small bed and brushed off my dress, they gave us clothes that people donated, I picked a black sleeveless dress that went down to my feet.
I wore my black necklace my dad made me for my 16th birthday, it has an arrowhead as the main charm and all around the black string were bobcat teeth that he got from a scull we found in the backyard one day; I sighed walking over to a mirror near the bathroom door, I was pretty, I guess, I had pale skin not sickly pale or anything just something I got from my mom.
I had my dark brown hair flowing around my face, in certain light my hair looks black, though it is dark brown, it flowed around my face from the wind seeping through the open window, I brushed my hair from my face with an old brush. "I can't wait to get out of here." I said to myself in a bitter tone of voice.
I hoped the shots wouldn't work on me so I could be adopted out to a family, maybe have an adoptive sister or brother, I was an only child when I lived back with my parents, we had a hybrid dog he was part wolf part husky.
I named him Bullet, he was like a brother, or a best friend, he was ironically hit by a car, I missed my mom dad and best friend. I sighed heavily I just wished this was over, that my mom was back my dad was here and my best friend was beside me as he used to be.
I almost wanted to cry, though I never did not since I was little surprisingly enough, I never liked to show emotion unless it was a happy emotion, and I never would cry in public whether it was with my family or not.
I went over and sat in the wooden chair, I leaned my head back and closed my eyes imagining being anywhere but here, in the forest is where I'd rather be then anywhere, it was peaceful and full of nature.
The rivers were steady and calm, the birds were chirping and the animals were all doing what they were born to do, survive the wild and create family's, eat and drink, sleep and hunt.
I heard a knock at my door and stayed as silent as I was, I heard the door open and the sound of feet across the wood floor, someone tapped me on the shoulder and I unwillingly opened my eyes.
It was my nurse, Bess, she was an older women, probably in her late 60's. "Yes Bess?" I said in a sweet voice, no I didn't like her, I hated her, but I never showed it I just obeyed like a trained dog. "The doctor has finished your shot and is waiting in the surgery room." She said coolly.
I never thought they would finish it anytime soon, but I got up and let her lead me out my door and through the halls, she came down some stairs and opened two double doors, inside was a table with straps for your arms legs and torso.
I knew how this went, and the sooner I got it over with the sooner I could go back to my room, Dr. Hanson was standing by the table, he was a man about the same age as Bess with greyed hair and thin glasses.
She led me to the table and I lied down onto it, I didn't want to but I pretty much had no choice and if I pulled away they would use force and I didn't want that, they strapped my arms and legs and injected a needle into my wrist, I winched.
It had a tube running from it, he injected something into it and suddenly I felt tired and my eyes seemed to droop on there own, right before I blacked out I felt a searing pain on my neck, then everything went black.
I was dizzy and unaware of where I was till I opened my eyes some, my vision blurry, I blinked a few times till I could see clearly, I was on the table the straps undone, I sat up carefully, the Doctor had a large grin and Bess had the same.
They were looking at a screen with different twirled things on it, I didn't know what they were, they were different colors, there were two of them one labeled wolf one human, then they would merge together when he clicked a button.
I didn't understand it one bit, Bess turned around and smiled widely at me. "Congratulations, Zetta, you are our first successful testy." She said cheerfully, I had a confused look though when I tried talking my throat hurt horribly.
She smiled and grabbed my hand taking me back to my room and led me to the bed, she then sat me down and walked back out without another word, she locked the door and I heard her footsteps all the way down the hall and stairs which was odd.
I carefully got up and made my way to the mirror, I gasped loudly, my eyes were bright gold and dog like.
