Dear Araya,
We're going to be gone for a while. Maybe for a few days. An emergency came up with my mom in Michigan, so we had to head out right away. We love you, and trust you to take care of yourself. You're free from school until we get back. We love you!
-Mom ♡

Araya stared at the note in her hand. Slowly, it burned. The flames were blue and didn't spread anywhere else. Talon came in the door, out of breath. "I heard the news. And my parents said I could stay with you until they get back." He told her, which relieved her slightly.

"Thanks.." Araya muttered. "Hey, are you okay?" Talon asked. She looked at him, and he could see the anger, betrayal, and sadness behind the beautiful brown eyes of hers. "I'm fine." She told him, looking down at her hand, where the note once was. There was no ashes, no evidence there ever was a fire. "Baby-" He started, walking closer to her, but then was cut off in the doorway to the kitchen by a wall of the blue flames. He squealed, stopping before walking into them.

After a moment, he stepped into them. He went right through them. After all, they were his powers, too. She looked down, letting the flames drop to nothing. She stayed quiet, but tears formed in her eyes. "Araya.." Talon said quietly. She didn't look up. "Kitten, look at me..please." Araya looked up this time. She blinked, letting the tears fall. "Talon..." she said, almost inaudible.

He wrapped his arms around her, and she just cried into his shoulder. They stayed there for a few moments, which felt like forever.

After about 12 minutes, Talon pulled away. "I love you, kitten." He told her. "I love y-you too.." Araya stuttered. The lockets glowed. The two smiled.

Their love was strong..
But was it strong enough?
