"No, but really, Rozonda is hilarious. She always keeps me and Tionne laughing." Instead of Cube just leaving after dropping me off at home, we chilled at my house for a while.
My dad would likely be getting drunk at some bar for the remainder of the night, so I wasn't worried about him.
My siblings could possibly be an issue though, who knows when they'll be back.
"Your smile is cute, Lisa." He told me.
I hadn't even realized I was grinning while talking about my friends. My cheeks grew hot, letting me know they appeared a deep shade of red.
"Thank you, I-... uh nevermind." I started to admit to him that I found him attractive as well, but refrained in fear the situation would escalate.
"You what? Go ahead, you can say whatever it is."
Reluctantly, I did. "It's nothing important. Just that I think you're kind of cute yourself." He nodded slowly and smiled just a little.
"Alright that's good, at least there's a chance I won't get rejected..."
My face scrunched up at this. "Rejected? Wha-"
He interrupted.
"Do you wanna, uh, do something this weekend?"
"Are you asking me on a date right now, Ice Cube?" I asked, smiling.
He chuckled and looked down sheepishly, but briefly. "I am. Are you accepting my offer?"
"Yes, I am. How about Saturday?" I answered.
"Saturday sounds good. My mama wants me home though, so I'm sorry but I have to leave. I'll see you later?" He spoke, heading for the door.
"Yeah, and it's fine. I'll see you this weekend." I answered. He smirked and kissed my cheek before leaving.
"Goodnight, Cube."
"Call me O'Shea. Goodnight, Lisa." He answered. I smiled and locked the door behind him as he left. Once he was gone I'd realized what I had gotten myself into.
Lisa don't start catching feelings for someone else. It never ends well.

I don't know if it gives you an update notification when ever I edit previously published chapters, but sorry if it does. I don't like the way I wrote this so I've been going back and revising the story chapter by chapter, ignore any notifications from this book for now. 🤕
