I sit on the soft blanket, draped, protectively over Aaron's bandana, remembering what had happened.
 
Another tear rolls down my cheek as I remember my friend.

He died a hero, but it seemed like a horrible time to go.

I shake my head, hugging the bandana tighter, I start sobbing into it again.

My vision was blurred and my throat constricted as another racking feeling shook through my body.

I wasn't in the mood to eat,

Or sleep,

Or smile for that matter.

Everything just seemed so dark, I hated it.

Aaron had been there to protect me and teach me how to be a lord. He showed me the right path and he seemed okay with confiding in me if he wanted to.

I sniffled as I sadly looked up to Lillith. I would tell her stories of Aaron, she enjoyed them.

I scrunched my eyes closed and continued the song.

I felt like screaming, I was so lost without Aaron.

I shuffle over to Lillith and hug her, making her smile.

I back up again, the chorus catching heavily in my throat.

I begin again, louder this time, tears falling from my cheeks.

I can hear soft murmurs outside my house, but I drown out the sounds with thoughts of Aaron.

I close my eyes, allowing myself to get carried away in the words of the song.
