The Girl with Wings

Chapter 2

"Hold up, loser!" Someone held behind Kairi.

*sigh* damn it them? Kairi turns around and to face Tiffany, Lea, and Dana. Enemies of Kairi and her friends. "What do you guys want?" Kairi huffed.

"Hello Kairi dear. Is it so exciting that WE'RE GOING TO HIGH SCHOOL?!" Tiffany said as she puts her arm around. "And also a chance to be popular." she added

"Alright I don't know why you would tell me this-"

"We just want you and you're friends to stay out of our way." Dana said, and Lea starts to walk towards Kairi. "So yeah, and if you do get in our way-"

Tiffany goes up to Kairi's ear. "You'll have the worst years of your life." She whispers, and Kairi pushes her away. "That's it? You come to me and threaten me and my friends just to say that you're going to be so "popular" in the future, WELL I GOT ONE THING TO ASK YOU THREE!..........I...don't...CARE!" She yelled and walks away.

"*pht* whatever." Tiffany mumbles and they walk away also. Kairi looks back and her eyes opened wide. Their shadows are slowly coming up from the ground and looking at Kairi....smiling.

"wha the ffuu......" She looks away in fear. "Why am I seeing things?" She mumbles.

Kairi gets home and sighs in relief. "daamn....I need food." She drops her backpack and walks to the fridge, then the door opens. "Hey Kairi."

"Hi dad, how was work?" Kairi ask as she gives him a soda and Kairi gets some left over pizza. (Kairi dad's name is Johnathon L. Mink

"Slow. Thanks. Until you kids got out of school the restaurant started to pack up, luckily I got out just in time before the boss says I have overtime." He said as he sits on the couch.

Kairi's mom died (Hannah K. Mink) when Kairi was an infant. She had a heart problem and luckily Kairi survived. Ever since, Kairi and her dad tries to work together to make things better-to have a normal life.

"Dad soon me and the others are going to the arcade and then the beach." Kairi said.

"Alright, but that room better be clean." He points at her room.

"ugh...fine." She rolls her eyes and goes to her room. She opens her window and looks outside. "*sigh*.......light..warm..lovely.. Well time to clean up-" She saw the black figure again. Just standing there under a tree, looking at you. "....uuhh okay it's nothing, must be someone's shadow...hopefully." She looks away and the figure goes into someone's shadow.
