Chapter 10: Painful Love

"She's not picking up." Grayson said looking at his phone. Drake then throws a Rubik's Cube at the door.

"WHOA!! WHAT THE HECK DRAKE?!"

"Of course she's not picking up!! She mad at me for being an idiot. And now she's probably never going to love me again."

"Drake once she loves someone she will always love that someone.....especially you...you love her and she loves you....she pushed Dan the jackass into the sand because she loves you, she ran away because she loves you too much."

Drake looks at his brother and looks away.

"GRAYSON!! Can you take out the trash please?" Their mother called from downstairs.

"Yeah I'm coming!!" Grayson called back and as he walks out the room he looks back at his brother and walked downstairs. Drake sits down on he's bed and he puts his hand on his mouth.

Kairi.....are....we...still....together? He thought and then tears starts to fall from his eyes

Grayson got downstairs and picks up the trash and took it out and comes back.

"Let me guess....Drake is sad because of what happen on the beach." The mom said as she's done cleaning the dishes.

"Yeah, turns out them two really really love each other."

"(sigh) Well it's probably best to leave Drake alone until dinner is ready." She said taking out raw beef from the fridge.

"Okay...I'll be in the gaming room." He said as he went up stairs

(A/N instead of the boys having their own separate rooms they decided to share a room and make the other room a gaming room! YAY TWIN POWER!!)

Grayson decides to play The Last of Us (really good game)

Drake lays on his bed staring at the ceiling....thinking....just thinking if his life is going to be well...in high school mostly. Then he slowly falls asleep.

Kairi still in her room crying. Then her dad knocks on the door. "Kairi....I know you're not fine."

"I am dad....I just..step on something really sharp and I'm kinda crying right now."

"....you're lying aren't you?"

"Okay yeah."

He comes into the room and sits next to her. "Kairi.....this is-"

"Horrible right? I used violence, and now people are going to think that I'm a bad person now......I'm sorry dad."

"No no no sweetheart, I'm not mad or disappointed or anything else.......Kairi when I was your age I was a violent young man....until i met you're mother.....I don't know what she saw in me but she accepted me....she loved me..she cared about me...she was everything to me....then when it was our second month in high school together.......we were out in the field eating lunch together and all of a sudden the people I used to fight came to us and they started to beat me up again, I tried so hard to hold it in then when I saw them.....'touching' your mother....I snapped, I punched one guy in the face and knee kicked the other one and then I tackled the other one that was on her and punched him out cold.....the others ran away.....I didn't want to see her face....it was probably filled with horror....until she sat infront of me, wiping off the tears and blood on from my face, and I was face to face with her....she was smiling...and she said....Thank you...for protecting me.... You see Kairi, you have to protect the ones you love....you protected Drake because you love him right?
Kairi blushes. "...yeah...but I'm not sure he'll love me again."  She said tearing up.
He hugs her. "Kairi.....you, Drake, Grayson, have been friends every since you were little, you think he's going to leave just because you pushed someone into the sand?"
"No." Kairi mumbles. "So....I'm not in trouble?"
"Well I should give you some short of punishment but you've been through enough." He gets up and walks out the room.
"Thanks dad."
"You're welcome."

A black mist starts swirls around in front of Drake and then covers his body then-
"BOYS!! DINNER TIME!!" The twins mom calls out.
Drake opens his eyes and the black mist disappears.
"Drake dinner is ready." Grayson said standing at the door.
"K. I'll be there." He answered and Grayson walks away, and Drake sits up. "Can't I skip dinner..." He gets up and walks downstairs and gets his drink and sits down at the dinner table and starts to eat.
"Where's dad?" Grayson asked.
"Where he usually is, at the hospital working overtime, especially with that one patient with pneumonia." Their mom said looking at her son then to her other son. "Drake, how was your last day in middle school? And also are you excited to go to high school?"
Drake didn't answer until a few long seconds. "Yeah I guess it's exciting." He answered in a low tone.
"Drake, honey you-"
"Mom please....don't...I don't want to hear it...I just have to much stress on me right now...."
"..well then, you better sort it out when the dance comes!" She said raising her voice, then her phone rings  and she picks it up. "Hello? .......you're kidding....damn it alright I'll be there in 20 minutes or less." She hangs up. "I've got to go, an emergency has pop up for me." She said getting all her stuff and leaving the house.
Drake didn't even eat his food, he's just swirling his fork around. Grayson already finish his food and puts his plate in the sink.
"...if you're not going to eat at least feed the dog." Grayson said walking up stairs.
"If you're not going to eat at least feed the dog." Drake mocks. "Oh just shut up for once you idiot nerd." Then someone knocks on the door, Drake opens it and it was Tiffany, Lea, and Dana.
"What do you girls want?" Drake said annoyed.
"Drake we just wanted to say that we're terribly sorry for how we treated you, Grayson and Kairi." Tiffany said.
".....okay but why are you apologizing now?" Drake said crossing his arms.
"But we saw that video of Kairi pushing Dan into the sand! Omg that was so freakin heroic of her-!"
"Dana shut up he doesn't want to hear it." Lea said pulling Dana's hair."
"Anyways we also apologized to Kairi and where's Grayson?"
"He's upstairs but he doesn't want to be bothered right now. But I'll tell him that you three said sorry." Drake said uncrossing his arms.
"Omg thank you, anyway we will no longer be enemies to each other!" Tiffany said holding out her hand.
"Yeah okay." They shake hands and then lighting strikes through the sky.
"Whoa...looking like it's going to rain, you three need an umbrella?" Drake kindly asks.
"No no we're fine," The three girl then walk away and Drake closes the door. "Wow.....Grayson's never going to believe this."

"Do you think it went in him?" Dana ask.
"Oh yes, now our plan has finally coming together, soon this town will be ours and we can get revenge on Kairi." Tiffany said and black mist starts to flow around their bodies.
