Sadie's family had been in France on her 14th birthday, and her parents brought her see the Paris Opera House. She marveled at the amazing acts, and enjoyed every second that she was there. This fed her burning desire to become famous, famous for acting and singing.
When her family returned to Chicago, she started performing on the street in front of the Paradise. She enjoyed performing for anyone who walked by, and many stayed to watch her.
