Author's Note:  There are six more chapters left of the story.  I hope everyone has enjoyed reading my story so far.  I am thankful for those of you who have been reading this story.

I will be uploading two chapters today and one chapter on Sunday.

Even though Leila felt beautiful and elegant in her wedding gown, she still felt completely miserable. She was standing only a few feet from the door; the door that would soon lead her to her fate...an everlasting marriage to Prince Erik.

She could feel herself trembling and beginning to feel sweat forming on her forehead.  She wished Brian and Sam were here with her.  She needed them now more than ever.

Leila began to feel shivers running down her spine.  She could sense something...or someone...lurking in the shadows.  She turned around, trying to see the presence she felt around her; she was sure she felt a pair of eyes watching her.  When she looked around, she saw nothing except the guards Prince Erik had placed around the castle, so nothing would ruin the wedding.

It's just my imagination and my nerves.  Yeah...that's it.  I'm just nervous about the wedding.

Leila tried to control her breathing, to calm her racing heart.  She nearly fell over when she heard the musicians begin.

"Ready Princess?" asked her escort.

"Ready," she replied to the knight.  She gave him her arm and the doors were pulled open by a few of the guards.

The aisle was not very long, but to Leila, it took hours before she finally reached Prince Erik, who was standing by the minister.  She smiled at him as her arm was passed to his.  He grinned back at her.

It seemed like the wedding had barely started before she heard the dreadful words.

"Do you, Prince Erik, take the Princess to be your wife and future queen?"

"I do."

"And do you, Princess, take Prince Erik to be your husband and future king?"

"I...I do," said Leila in a small voice.

She did her best to not begin bursting into tears.

She had just sealed her fate.

"If there is anyone here who does not wish that these two should be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace," said the minister.

Leila did not get her hopes up.  The only two people who could...and would have spoken up were not present; besides, Brian never spoke and Sam had left unexpectedly.

All of a sudden, Leila heard someone say the most precious word that she had ever heard.

Her name.

When she looked back to see who had spoken, she saw Brian...and a handsome stranger.

Sam.
