Adam unclasped the chains around my ankles, allowing my to sit up properly. I turned and let my legs and feet hang off of the table. "Why am I here?" I asked. "You've seen too much. We can't let you go." He replied. I was about to try to stand, but he started talking. "So what's your name?" "My name is Seraphena." I replied slowly. I pushed hair out of my face and looked up nervously. "What are you going to do to me?" He had a thoughtful look on his face before responding. "We could either turn you, release you to the higher class, or kill you. I'll let you choose." I was confused. "Turn me? Turn me into what?" Adam laughed. "A vampire of course. What else?" I felt a sudden chill run down my spine as he said that. "Adam.. leave the poor little girl alone. Give her time to think and process what is happening." Said a smooth voice from the other side of the room. Another figure came out from the shadows. They had long, red hair and blue eyes. "My name is Jackie. Sorry about my brother. He doesn't know how to properly treat guests. Would you like a drink? We have water and pepsi." I shook my head no and asked "Um... who are the higher class?"
The atmosphere automatically went tense as Adam and Jackie looked at each other, not knowing what to say. Jackie sighed. "The higher class are the vampires who are able to change shape. Technically they're mutants, but since there is such a vast number of them and they are so powerful they overruled us and took over. They are our bosses so to speak. Since they're part shapeshifter they have the powers a normal shapeshifter would. They're evil creatures who would do anything in their ability to gain more and more power." She paused, looking at Adam. "They use us as slaves to do their dirty work. Most siblings get separated as soon as they get attached to each other. As soon as a mundane is turned into a vampire the upper class must be notified. My brother and I managed to escspe. We've been hiding out in this cabin for 76 years. No one has found us yet. You're the first person to ever see us and that's only because Adam here was being an idiot. Basically what I'm trying to say is that the upper class are terrible." She sighed, looking down. I gave her a look that was a mix between sympathetic and scared. They soon walked out of the room, letting me think over my decision. I definitely didn't want to go to the upper class. I would either be turned or be killed. This is overwhelming, I hadn't even known vampires existed until today and now I may become one.(Picture above is Seraphena)
