Chapter IV

I woke up in a chair, confused at first, but soon remembered the events from last night. I tried standing up, but was overwhelmed by a major headache. I groaned and closed my eyes. My mouth was really sore where my canine teeth are. "Ow, fuck." I cussed. After my headache calmed down I tried standing up again. I walked over to a mirror and looked at my gums. There were really sharp teeth growing in place of my normal teeth.
"Fuck. JACKIE!" I called out, immediately regretting it because it cause my headache to worsen again. Jackie walked in with an amused look on her face. "How are you feeling Seraphena?" I gave her an annoyed look. "It feels like I have a fucking hangover" I groaned and layed down on the floor. "Would you like some aspirin for your headache?" I nodded slightly and she walked off. I stood back up and walked out of the room I was in. "Ayy. Adam, what's up man?" I shouted. "Woah, you've changed a lot since last night," he laughed and told me Jackie was in the kitchen with medicine.
I sat on one of the counters in the kitchen and swung my legs. "So Jackie, are there any other vampires or anything around here?" She shook her head and handed me the pills and water. "Y'know, Jackie... I'm glad you guys took me. My life wasn't exactly the best. Hopefully I can have a new start." I said, then got up and left the room.

I sat on the floor with a book in hand trying to read. My mind was clouded with thoughts and memories. Why did I even bring up my past. Jackie is probably going to ask questions now. Just then there was a knock on my door. "Come in." I mumbled, not bothering to look up as they walked in.
"Seraphena?" Of course it was Jackie. "I know you don't want to talk about it, but what happened in your life to make you hate it so much?" Fuck. I knew she would ask questions, but this soon? I'll have to tell her sooner or later, may as well get it over with. I closed the book and set it aside. " Jackie. My past was... It was terrible. Make yourself comfortable because it's going to be a long story." I took a deep breath before continuing. "When I was 3..."
