I woke up on a soft bed, confused on how I got here. I sighed when I realized that I'd have to make my decision today. The door slowly creaked open, Jackie walking in. She smiled as she noticed I was awake. "Ah, Seraphena darling. Would you like some breakfast?" I was going to deny, but my stomach objected to that, growling loudly. She laughed and told me to follow her. I stood up from the bed and walked out of the room. She took the to a room with large windows, a long dining table and a lot of chairs. The walls were covered in very old wallpaper that looked like it was from the 1910's. I stared in awe at the beautiful room. It was filled with fancy cupboards and a chandelier hanging above the table. Wow. I thought as I looked around. This place is beautiful. A voice cut me out of my thoughts. "Thank you. We tried making this as nice as possible." Did I say that out loud? Jackie laughed. "No darling. Vampires can read minds." My mouth formed an 'o' shape. I nodded my head and stopped beside her. The table was full of various types of foods and drinks.
I walked toward the table and looked around. There were pancakes, biscuits, waffles, bagels, and many other things. To drink they had orange juice, water, milk, and coffee. I grabbed a plate from the stack and walked closer. I grabbed a bagel, strawberry cream cheese, and orange juice. I sat at the end of the table, shortly followed by Jackie.
"So Seraphena... Have you made a decision yet?" Jackie asked. I nodded shakily. "I... I want to be changed." Jackie nodded stiffly and stood up. "Stay here and finish eating. I'll be back." She walked out of the room and I heard soft voices coming from the next room.
"She wants to be changed Adam."
"Is she sure? This is a major change."
"She sounded sure. Hopefully this is the right choice."
"Alright. When she finishes her food we will take her to the room and hopefully everything will be okay."
"You go ahead and get everything prepared. I'll bring her back later."Jackie walked back into the room and smiled when she noticed I was done eating. "Are you ready hun?" I nodded and stood up. She motioned for me to follow her. We walked to a room on the far side of the house. It was a plain room with a chair and a table in the center. I sat in the chair as I was told. "Are you ready for this?"
