Chapter 4 ;
* BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEE-* Russell woke up and pounded his lime green alarm clock. He looked over and it read 11:28. "Only a few more hours" he said sleepily and picked up his phone. He smiled when he saw a text from Katie.
Katie : good morning! We still on for later ?
He replied "Of course :)!" And sat up in bed. He barely remembered anything from the night before but he did remember the kiss with Katie. He ran his fingers through his hair, and stood up. He stumbled quite a bit as he walked over to his bathroom and turned on his shower. He stood in the shower, and let the water run down his head. About two minutes in the shower, he heard his phone singing the Friday the thirteenth theme song. He immediately started to leap out the shower. As soon as he stepped out his feet slipped right up under him. When his butt hit the hard concrete floor under him it made a loud noise and you heard his mom from downstairs "Russell, are you alright?" "Sure thing ma'!!!" He yelled back as he stood up.
As soon as he reached the phone he saw it was a text from Katie.
Katie ; can't wait!! See ya soon. ;)
He started to smile until he heard someone walk into his room. "Mom!!! What are you do-" he tried to say while struggling to cover himself with a towel "I had to make sure you were alright sweetheart" his mom answered. "Please!! Get out!" Russell said and his mom walked out slowly.
Russell headed over to his closet and picked out his favorite outfit. His red vans, his long dark denim jeans and his white and red Aeropostale shirt. He went to the bathroom, dried his hair then slicked it back with some Axe hair gel. He heard his phone ringing and this time walked over to it.
* Russell and Katie on the phone *
Russell ; hello ?
Katie ; hey Russell! I was just calling to let you know that i'm almost there. I mean like, I'm here now. So come outside!! *giggles*
Russell smiled and said ; alright ! Then hung up the phone.
He ran downstairs as quickly as he could. "Bye mom, I'll see you later I gotta go do something with a friend!" Russell said. "Alright son, be careful" she replied. Russell heard he doorbell ring an opened up the door. "Hi Mrs.Johnson!" Katie called out from over my shoulder. Then she looked at me and asked "You ready?" I smiled and said "Yep!" And we walked outside.
We got in the car quickly and drove out the driveway. "So,where should we go?" She asked. "Well, it's not like i'll be dressing up like a girl everyday of my life, so it's ony temporary and it doesn't need to look perfect" I said with a husky voice. "I know just the place" Katie said laughing. We rode in silence until we pulled into the parking lot of Good Will. "We're gonna pop some tags!" Katie said as she turned up her radio to hear Thrift Shop by Mackelmore playing. She turned off her car and we walked side by side inside.
"Skirts, blouses, dresses.... What should we choose?" Katie asked. We walked over to the girls clothing section and she searched through some different items. We were there for about five minutes when I heard Katie's voice "PERFECT!" And I looked back to see her holding up a dress. I smirked, and asked Katie "You sure?" "Yes!! Go try it on" she demanded. I was about to embarrass myself in front of my crush and everyone in this Thrift Shop. I walked past her, picking it up from her small, painted fingers.
I walked to the dressing room and closes the metal door. "Why me?" I asked myself. I hurried to slide it on, and just my luck it fit perfectly. Although when I out it on it was ice cold. It looked like a prom dress. It was a dark pink trimmed with silver sparkles. It hung off one shoulder and I looked ridiculous in it.
I opened the door, and there she was waiting to see me in the dress. "BEAUTIFUL!" Katie laughed sarcastically. "Now you just need some heels, and you'll look just fine." I went back to the dressing room and took off the prom dress. I retrieved the dress and walked out and over to where Katie was. She was waiting by the shoes. She picked me out some silver shoes with a big pink flower near the toes. "Oh God" I said in a low voice, an we started to walk towards the register. It rung up to be $15.69, I took out my wallet and paid the exact amount. "Want some lunch?" She asked "My treat??" And I smiled at her and we got in the car.

I feel like this one wasn't as good, but I don't know. The next chapter will be about them getting lunch together, and having a serious talk.
