The masked man continued riding down the road for about half an hour. As he drove he eventually came to his least favorite part of the city. It went by "The Slums". It wasn't really large just a single strip of road that branched into different neighborhoods. As the masked man continued to ride, the sidewalks were stained by those living in fear and poverty. Those lucky enough could barely afford to feed themselves and live in the run down apartment buildings that ran down the entire strip. As the masked man continued to drive a man called out in agony. The shriek louder than the roar of the masked man's bike. Hearing the shriek he turned and saw another horrifying sight.
Previously a man, now a bloodthirsty beast who looked like a vulture. He stood as a human but, with a twisted hunch. This made him all the more disturbing. The creature sprouted wings as the masked man pulled out a 10mm pistol and fired at the monster's head. It quickly dodged and saw the masked man. He leaped off of his cycle while it screeched down the road to a rough stop with a trash can. The masked man looked at the creature but, the creature was more concerned with a woman who yelled in fear at the sight of such a deformed creature.
"DON'T!", the masked man yelled but, it was too late. As the masked man ran with all the speed he could muster, the vulture-like creature flew upward and dived into the woman it's long curved beak ripping into the woman's stomach as it feasted on her insides. The masked man aimed his pistol once again at the creatures head and shot. The bullet went into the creature's head and flew out as the creature froze. The bullet came out clean as the vulture stood then fell again.
As the man watched the now dead creature collapse onto the woman he turned around and looked at his cycle. He walked towards and mounted it once again and drove off. As he rode into the darkness he was cheered on by the people who witnessed the horrifying scene. The masked man didn't acknowledge there existence though, he was to engulfed in his own mind. He kept hearing the screams of the woman who had been so viciously devoured before. He heard the piercing screech of the creature and just like before it was louder than his engine, except this time not real. He kept riding until he was out of "The Slums".
He entered the more richer part of town. The scene was different. Lights shone brightly as he drove and traffic was heavy. He was a good rider so he moved by easily. He kept driving at a steady pace. There were homeless in the alleys who didn't know where their next meal would come. Pedestrians lined the sidewalks as music played on the lively evening. As he kept driving he heard the sounds of car horns and loud chatter, it seemed almost normal. He was almost there...
