Matthew stood staring into the infinite darkness. No matter where he looked all he could see was pitch black. He began to sweat as he heard the sound of footsteps on a marble floor then the scene changed. He was in the kitchen of his childhood home his sister playing and running from in and out of the kitchen. He realized that he was in the kitchen washing dishes. He dried a dish as a tall shadowy figure approached him menacingly. He flinched and stood facing the figure. Despite seeming to be made of all darkness, Matthew seemed to have realized who this figure was from first glance.
He stepped back as the figure punched him in the stomach. Soon after another realization happened. Matthew realized he was thirteen again. This made him panic even more. He stared at the figure as it slowly approached once more. He stepped back again and tripped stumbling backward into a counter. He reached around for something to defend himself with but, he realized that there was nothing there. As the figure approached the floor began to fall into pitch black darkness. He fell into the void as he began to hyperventilate. He then landed onto the bed from his childhood.
"W-Where am I?", he asked as he looked around and realized just where he was.
He sat up and immediately saw two of the dark figures from before and he began to panic. He wasn't able to move though, his body felt as if it was solid stone. As Matthew pleaded with himself asking the question "why is this happening to me?" he began to realize what this place is. Before he could utter a word the figure knocked him from the bed, and onto the floor. He began to plead but, he couldn't even hear what he was saying. He just watched hopelessly as the figure grabbed him by the neck. He struggled to utter the words "Please stop" before the scene went completely dark again.
As Matthew floated around in his own consciousness he looked around for something not pitch black. Then he was outside his childhood home looking at the front door. It's around 5:30am as he stared at his house...
