Swagger Chapter Two Part 8
I looked her who the hell this girl thought she was the family was smitten with her. I couldn't stand it. Though Vinnie made sure I was comfortable I still felt uncomfortable. And as Terrence mingled with his family I was with Nuni just hanging out.
"Go go you go talk" she ushered me away, so much for trying to chill with my favourite person in this family. I sighed the house was nice big and nice. I looked at the Christmas tree and examined the names that were engraved on the ornaments. When I glanced at one it was of a heart with Terrence and Kaitlin. Damn was this bitch really a staple in these peoples life. I looked at her as she mingled with the family like I'm sure she had done previous times before. I laughed she was trying so hard to make me envy her. I just shook my head.
"You okay?" Andres asked me his girlfriend clinging to his side. I started to wonder if that child ever went home.
"Yeah I'm fine just looking at the ornaments"
"Come outside with us" he tried to get me to go outside but I denied it. I walked over to the table and poured a drink of some alize. I wasn't a drinker but damn for these purposes it was an exception. I looked so out of place me with my faux hawk and black. Terrence walked over to me.
"What are you drinking" nothing I told him swallowing all the contents of my cup. He smiled and hugged me around my waist.
"Come on were about to start" Christmas was only 2 minutes away and they were officially going to be opening presents. His aunt Maria lit the fire place and we all gathered around the tree sitting where ever we could. Terrence sat at my foot.
His aunt did a prayer which was a routine for them in Italian then she spoke about their tradition and bull shit I felt like yawning but didn't that would be rude. Terrence rubbed my leg.
"Boring isn't it? " he asked me. I shook my head. Kaitlin kept eyeing us and I wanted to tell her to give me my damn face back.
Presents were passed around I was in the middle of opening one from Andres, Terrence's brother when my phone rang.
"Sorry you guys" I excused my self.
"How is your Christmas going?" Dawann was on the other end I smiled. Terrence kept looking at me.
"Fine Merry Christmas to you. Did you get my package?" I asked him.
"Hell yeah that is what I called you for thank you for the Wii" I smiled he was such a big ass kid. I didn't even consider him a man he was grown ass child.
"Hold on Chey want to say something to you"
"Well happy Christmas to you and thank you for giving him another reason to ignore me and oh thank you for the gifts we loved it. Make sure you check your mail when you get home" I smiled. The whole family was looking at me like I interrupted there proceedings I sat back down.
"Sorry that was my twin" I told them they all shook their heads. Terrence pulled my head down.
"Rude to interrupt" he told me. I shook my head.
"Thank you" I told Andres smiling looking at the Fendi hobo purse. One thing about these people was they splurged. Kaitlin handed Terrence a box he looked at it and then me.
"Its cool" I told him I guess he was waiting for my approval. He ripped the rapper open. I looked down at the gift. I rolled my eyes the fuck is an album. Terrence flipped through the pages and smiled it was a scrap book from throughout his years. She handed him another box. I damn near choked when I saw the diamond infested bracelet. I blinked that was such an expensive gift for just being friends.
