just hold on, i'll carry you

"courtney! get out of bed and get ready! it's your first day at your new school!' i heard my mum shout up the stairs. i jumped up and grabbed my new uniform from the wardrobe. i got dressed, did my hair and make up then ran downstairs to have breakfast. i kissed my mum goodbye when i heard the bus beep. i ran to the bus then headed to the back to sit down. there were no free spaces on their own and i stood there looking like a retard until i heard a voice say "there's a seat here if you want?" i turned around to see who it was and there was a boy, smiling at me. he had brown hair and looked around the same age as me. he moved his bag and tapped the chair. i sat down next to him and said "i'm courtney, what's your name?"

"i'm jj, are you new?" he said, still smiling.

"yeah, i just moved here from bournemouth."

"oh, well do you know anyone at bluefield?" he asked me.

"no, no one yet"

"well, you know me now and there are three other boys you need to me. we'll keep you company." he told me.

"thank you jj!" i said, smiling at him.

"my pleasure! look here we are come on!" he grabbed my hand and pulled me off the bus. i then got my first glance of bluefield high. i knew these were going to be some of the best years of my life.
