chapter six

i nodded and told my parents that i would be back before midnight. i shut the door and smiled at jj. he grabbed my hand and looked at me. "where are we going then courts?" i giggled and pointed towards the forest. "okay then, lets go!" he said to me and ran towards the forest. he pulled me along and i ram with him. we laughed all the way there and i realised why i loved him so much. "jj, lets stop running. i'm tired!" i said. he stopped and we walked into the forest. we carried on walking till we got to a clearing where i had set up a moonlit picnic. "courtney did you do this for me?" he asked.

"yes, all for you." i told him, smiling and blushing.

"oh my, aw courtney why?" he asked me, smiling.

"you'll find out, lets just enjoy it." i said. i grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the picnic blanket. i sat down and looked up at him. "are you going to sit down?" i asked, giggling. he sat down in front of me and we started chatting. he was hilarious and i realised why i loved him so bad. we dug in and started playing catch the grape. it was so funny and there were more grapes on the floor than in our mouths! "courtney, this is perfect. are you going to tell me why you planned this yet?" he asked, chuckling to himself. he shuffled towards me and put his arm round my waist. "jj, i still love you. after everything you did to me i have still loved you. through it all." i told him. i knew i was blushing but i didn't care. i told him how i felt. "phew, i've been waiting for the right time to ask you out! i guess now is the right time." he said, "so courtney, do you want to go out with me?" i felt my eyes tear up but i held it back. he clasp my chin and turned my face towards him. "it would be my pleasure jj!" he smiled and breathed out with relief. "i'm so happy!" he said, jumping up. he grabbed my hand and pulled me up into a hug. he lifted me up of the ground and span me around. i was giggling and he was laughing with joy. he put me down and checked his watch. 11:57! we packed up quickly and sprinted home. "i'll never get home in time!" he said, sounding upset. "you can stay round mine. text your parents and say you're staying round a friends. my parents won't care!" i told him.

"are you sure?" he asked

"yeah! come on we only have a minute left!" i said and started running. he ran up to me, grabbed my hand and started running with me. when we got there i knocked the door and waited for my parents. it was 0:00 exactly so i wasn't late. when my mum answered i said "mum, this is jj. my new boyfriend."
