Saturday morning...

"Do you want to go to watch a movie?", Mark asked.

"Sure, what's on?", Bridget answered.

"Fear of the Night".

"Fine, I like to be scared".

"Good, there's a 1:30 session at The Lawrence Theater".

"I'll be there,".

"Good, I'll buy the popcorn and ice cream".

Bridget walked towards the theater.

Mark smiled.

"It's PG-13 rated".

"I hope so", Bridget said.

"It's a nineteen ninety eight indie horror movie".

"I thought it was older".

"Anyway, let's get the tickets".

The cinema lady smiled at them.

"Two tickets for 'Fear of the Night'".

"Sixteen dollars".

Mark paid with a twenty dollar note.

"Four dollars back. Enjoy the show".

"We will", Bridget said.

In cinema 4, one hundred people were sitting down.

And, as the movie previews happened to be screened, Mark sat in row 32, seat 21. And Bridget sat in number 22.

By one forty-five, the movie started.

***

The movie finished by three-thirty.

"That was the worst movie in the world. But it had a charm about it", Bridget laughed.

"Sure the acting was off".

"What now?", Bridget smiled.

"How about going to the library?", Mark asked.

"Good, fine by me", Brigid answered.

Candace arrived at the Shelton Library.

She grabbed the key, and opened it.

The musty air was overpowering.

She wiped the spidery cobwebs off her blue blouse.

When she turned the lamps on, she saw Mark and Bridget.

"Hello? Can I help you?", she asked.

"Yes, do you have 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell. It's for a English assignment", Mark answered.  Bridget smiled.

"Yes, you can borrow it for a week. Do you have a library ID card?".

"Yes".

"And I wandered whether you have 'The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mister Hyde, by Robert Louis Stevenson".

"Let me look on the computer".

"You're young to be running the library", Mark said.

"I'm Candace Mills, the owner's Junior Library Assistant. He's away on business. And he treats me like the daughter he never had. Now, those books are in the 'Classics' section. I'll get them now". She stood in the arched hallway, then saw 'Animal Farm' under the 'A''s; she saw
'The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mister Hyde', under the 'S' section. When she got them, she went down the ladder.
