Candace swept the arched hallway carpet.

She was so busy that she didn't hear the doorbell ring.

She finally looked up, and she saw Gregory.

"Candace, I thought you were at school".

"I do my work online".

"That's modern".

"I know. What can I do for you?", she asked.

"I'd like to read one of the books. If there's one I'd like to borrow, I'll let you know".

"Fine, there's talk that cult members have terrorized the local school".

"Oh".

"Would it have to do with the school shutting down?", Gregory asked.

"Yes".

"I feel that some parts of the city are on dangerous ground".

"Yes, so, what brings you here?".

"Me. I like to read".

"You do?".

"Yes".

"I do, too".

"Then you'll be understanding of what the junior cult leaders are capable of".

"I know what Elizabeth is known for".

"Elizabeth is a good girl".

"She wears a hood over her head".

"Ah, that what cult leaders wear".

"She's evil".

"No. She's always concerned about what must be done during periods of stress".

"Stress".

"Yes, stress".

"I don't think stress is the main point of contention".

"No, I am in a state of mind to punish her for certain failures".

"That wouldn't solve anything".

"Yes, I feel that you're right. Her Mom never does anything for her".

"Her mother".

"Yes, all she does is drink and pick fights with other women".

"That's awful".

"These days anything can happen".

"So, please look around the library. Have you read 'The Library of Dead Souls'?", Candace asked him. He smiled.

"Yeah, I will be half way through it".

"In one day".

"I read fast".

"I do that, too".

"We have a connection".

"That is why I come here to the library".

"Libraries are full of knowledge".

"That is true".

"So, what time are you locking up?".

"Six o'clock".

"Ah, I'll read some of the books".

"If you need any help, tell me".

"I will".
