The rest of my weekend dragged on painfully slow and I felt a year older by Thursday rolled around. The only upside is that Harry had been texting me and even rang me a few times. I felt bad on Tuesday because I was taking a Latin Test and he texted me the most distracting things and I could only respond with laconic answers for fear of being caught on my mobile during the test. I collapsed onto my bed on Thursday and scrolled through our conversation from the past few days with a smile that just wouldn't leave. Just as I was about to set my phone aside so I could do my homework my screen lit up with a message.
Harry :] - Hey =] oo
Me - Hey Harold, What's up with the oo's?
Harry :] - xx's mean kisses and I haven't kissed you yet so I'm using oo's for hugs instead. :)
Me :] - How cute. And you throw around the word 'yet' so confidently. Who says you get kisses at all. ;)
Harry :] - Touché :P
Me - So what are you doing really? Surely you didn't text me solely for the purpose of telling me about how cocky you are.
Harry :] - lol you're right. I was taking a break from my literature homework and I thought of you. :)
Me - How very nice that I managed to grace your thoughts. :P
Harry :] - I wanted to confirm our movie date tomorrow and was wondering what time you are free.
Me: Anytime after 5. I have photography club on Fridays. Gotta take dem pictures of the flowers behind the gym.
Harry :] - Lol. That's cool. I didn't know you were in Photography club. I used to be in the Writers club lol. Back to tonight though, It's your pick on what you want to see.
Me - Would it be really childish of me to ask to see Finding Nemo 3D. It's back in cinemas for this month. XD
Harry :] - Finding Nemo is a classic. Plus 3D just makes it better. There are showings at 18:45, and 19:55 at the local cinema.
Me - 19:55 is fine. I'll meet you there since it's right down the street from my house. :)
Harry :] - You know I can always pick you up from your place and I could drive us. Save you the trip. XD
Me - I like walking, and plus I'm not sure if you've earned the privilege of knowing the location of my house...yet. ;]
Harry :] - Have it your way. I'll see you at 7:50 :) oo
Me - See you then Harold. oo
I put down my phone and pull out my homework smiling to myself. Harry is so sweet and even though we've only known each other for two weeks he makes me smile every time we talk. I settle into my desk chair before Ashwin knocks on my door.
"Come in!" I shout not turning away from my work.
"Hey sis what's up?" Says Ashwin looming over my shoulder.
"Just school work..." I say turning around slowly.
"Seen Henry lately?" He asks while examining my Physics homework.
"It's Harry and no I haven't, but we're going to the movies tomorrow."
"I have the right to say Henry since you always call my fiance Jannett. Is he picking you up?"
"No, I said he could just meet me there." Mayson facepalms and drags his hands up and down his stubbly cheeks.
"He offered to take you though, right?"
"Yeah, but I don't want him to know where I live yet."
"Have him pick you up. I want to say hi to the kid."
