- Drake's POV -

I woke up the next morning feeling complete, with my mate by my side. Her head was resting on my bare chest, along with her small hand. I could hear her soft and steady heartbeat, relaxing me. Her soft snores echoed slightly throughout the room. Gently lifting her head, I reluctantly left her sleeeping on her own, her small frame lost in the thick covers. She looked so peaceful. I quietly got dressed, purposely leaving my shirt behind and gave her a kiss on her temple.

"Hmmmmm..." she mumbled in her sleep, snuggling into the space that I once occupied. I sat on the sofa beneath her window, watching her sleep. How did I get so lucky with her? I knelt down beside her bed, stroking strands of her soft chocolate-brown hair out of her eyes. I knew that brown wasn't her natural hair colour, she is an Angel after all. I planted another soft kiss on her rosy lips and made my way to the window. Better leave now while she's still asleep, otherwise I'll never be able to leave her. I needed to speak to my Father about her, what was going to happen when her people take her away from me? I don't think I could take it, so this needs to be sorted, and fast.

Standing on the outside windowsill, I stole one more glance back at my mate, sleeping peacefully, hugging the covers to her chest. I turned again to face the sky, allowing my wings to spread behind my back, shielding me from Aria's view. Without a second thought, I jumped, pumping my wings, sending me higher into the cloudless early morning sky.

- Drake's World -

Here I am, home sweet home. Yeah right. This place is a craphole, compared to what I could have with Aria. I made my way through the dimly lit hallways, and up stone staircases, heading to my Father's 'office'. Anyone who passed by me bowed slightly from seeing their leaders son, back so soon. I stormed into my Father's waiting area and went straight through to his 'office', nodding at his secretary as I passed. When I entered the dark room, my Father was sat behind his big mahogony desk, talking animatedly on the phone. Taking long strides up to his desk I ripped the phone from his hand and slammed it down onto its holder.

"What the he-" my Father began, but I cut him off.

"Let's just get straight down to business, Father." I spat, glaring at him.

I watched as his eyes narrowed slightly and his forehead creased into a frown. He motioned to the chair in front of his desk and I slumped down in it, suddenly feeling the tiredness from my journey.

"What can I help you with son?" my Father questioned, his face still set on the frown.

"I need a way to stop the 'perfect' Angel's from taking Aria away from me" I stated.

He thought about what I said for a moment, before his face softened, "You mean their Princess, Aria?" wow, he really doesn't know does he?

"Yes their Princess, in case you haven't noticed, Aria is my mate, and I can't let them take her away from me." Tears started to prick at my eyes at the thought of loosing her. No, Drake, stop thinking like that, she wouldn't leave you. Would she?

Father shifted uncomfortably in his chair, refusing to meet my gaze. "Son, I don't think there is a way to stop them. They need a Queen, and if Aria is next in line for that crown, we can't stop them." his gaze suddenly connected with mine and I recognised the look in his eyes immediatly. Pity. Ugh. I don't want this man's pity, he can shove his pity where the bloody sun don't shine for all I care.

"Look, Father," I growled "There is always a way, and I'm going to find that way, even if it kills me." With that said, I stood up and stormed straight out of his 'office'. I didn't stop until I got outside, and that was only so I could spread my wings and go back where I belong. With Aria.

- Aria's POV -

When i woke up, the sun was streaming through my blinds. Wow, how long did I sleep? I reached over to grab my phone and checked the time. 11:37. Hmmm, I thought it would be later than that, obviously not. I rolled over and reached over the oher side of the bed, where Drake had slept, but he wasn't there. I felt around the cold blankets and my heart sunk when I realised that he definately wasn't there.

Keeping my covers close to my chest, I got up and walked to my open window. He must of left pretty early this morning. Something soft brushed against my foot and i looked down to see the shirt he wore the day before. Slipping on some underwear under the shirt, I went downstairs to make some breakfast. The shirt was so big it came to just above my knee. I grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and, taking a sip, set about making some pancakes for myself and Natalie. Speak of the Devil and they shall appear. Natalie walked into the kitchen, in her Waybuloo pyjamas, rubbing her eyes and dragging her rabbit along the floor.

"What's up Chuck?" I questioned, wondering why my 7-year-old sister seemed so tired.

She ignored me and went to climb up on one of the tall red chairs by the island. Once she was seated, she rested her head on her arm and started mumbling that she was 'too tired to talk'.

"So I guess that means you're too tired for pancakes then?" I giggled when her head snapped up, and a big toothy grin spread out across her face.

"Okay, so what shall it be? Syrup or chocolate sauce?" i held out the two bottles for her to see and, suprise suprise, she reached for the chocolate one.

"I LOOOOOOVVVVEEEEEE CHOCOLATE!!!!" she squealed, her grin getting wider. She was soo adorable in the morning. Her brown hair all askew, her silver-blue eyes totally unfocused on what she was supposed to be doing, and her mind occupied with the thoughts of her innocent dreams.

Basically, Natalie was a mini version of me. We were so alike it was unbelivable. You could tell we were sisters just by looking at us and I loved that, Natalie loved it too.

After making the pancakes, and covering Natalie's with a lot of chocolate sauce, we went into the living room and curled up on the deep red leather couch, spending the rest of the day watching Disney films.
