The First Biggest Mistake

Chapter 2: August

It was last year, last month of the summer time. Toard the end of our summer program we were in called "Gear Up" is were i first met him. It was raining that day outside. The bus pulled up and came and I saw a seat and took it. But someones belongings were in the seat and i didnt really know whos they were, all I knew is that they wernt mine. So soon this random boy pops up (my now ex) and says your in my seat but you can stay. And I was shocked cause most people would make me move or something but no, he let me stay I found that so kind of him cause it was ranining outside and all that and whos gonna want to take someones wet seat from the rain, him for me, and then latter he came back and he asked me to give him his chips and stuff and his umbrella in the seat and for a second i glanced in his eyes, they were like a light dark brown.Thats when I had a crush on him but it wasnt as big as it grown in the distant future that slowly had me falling in love with this boy.There was this game toward the end of the summer time we played called truth or dare.My bestfriend Eve decided we play and got some of the others on the bus to play, now it wasnt really a big group it was a nice little amount enough to keep it just between all of us. There was some dares accomplished and some wernt. But i rather not get into the details. One day we were all going on this field trip to some park and it was me, Eve, (my ex), and this random boy i went to grade school with called johnathan. We were at the play scape playing tag and whatever, you know running around, playing on the monkeybars, going down the slide, playing hide and go seek under the side section of the playscape. But it was strange because me and him were both hiding at the same spot, sitting right next to eachother under the playscape. ALONE for like a few seconds but it felt like we were the only ones there, the energy felt so different around this boy from anyone i've ever known, I dont know have you ever just wanted to randomly kiss someone? The way me and him got closer to eachother and time stoped but randomly continued moving once one of us tried to stop the moment from happening. Well that didnt happen. We got found. We got tagged.Game over.
So yeah one day we were in cafe and im sitting next to my bestfriend Eve and im talking to her and she noticed I was acting different. So I told her why I was so smiley and it was because of this boy I caught feelings for. Now I tell her who and shes like "what?","HIM?!" "That boy right there?" "You sure?" She was like let me make sure, and calls him over as im telling her not to but its to late she calls him he comes he to my table. Just stands there confused of what she wants then he looks at me and I smile and I put my head down and she says nevermind, he says okay and basically walks away. That was probably one of the most awkward moments of my life with a boy I like, mostly because i personlly feel the moment couldve gone better then it did, but I didn't know how to talk, or react at the time.
