I don't know how, but I ended up in my bed. I don't remember coming home last night or anything. I set up, and it's then I realized that someone was next to me. The last thing I remember was Lauren bringing out the weed.I looked to see Lauren, sleeping. I panicked, quickly checking under the covers. Luckily we were both clothed, meaning we didn't do anything.
"Lauren," I gently shook her. "Wake up." Lauren groaned and murmured something, turning around. I rolled my eyes, "Lauren!"
Lauren jolted awake, her eyes wide and alarmed. Her eyes scanned the room, finally landing on me. Her features visibly relaxed, her shoulders slouching down. She looked down at her clothing, relief spreading over her face.
"I thought we were gonna have a rerun of two weeks ago for a moment." Lauren said, her morning voice showing.
"Yeah," I yawned, "Me too." I saw Lauren blush and looked away. I was confused, why was she blushing? I shrugged it off, standing up. I looked at myself through the mirror, stretching.
"So..should I leave or something?" Lauren asked, her eyes trained on my back. I turned around, locking eyes with her.
"You can leave or you can stay, it's your choice, really," I shrugged. "My mom is usually at work by now, so she won't be here. We can hangout or something."
"Do you have food?"
I chuckled, "Yeah. We have a lot of food." Lauren got out of bed, following me downstairs. We walked into the kitchen, "In there." I pointed to the pantry. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket, seeing that Camila had texted me.
Mila: don't have sex with her again
Me: I didn't, FYI
I looked up at Lauren, "Do you mind if Camila comes over? She usually does every morning."
"I don't care. I've met her once or twice, plus, it's your house." Lauren told me.
Me: come over. Lauren is here btw
Mila: lol I was already out the door
Not even a second later, the front door opened. Lauren turned to me with a raised eyebrow, not knowing who it is.
"I have arrived!" Camila announced, walking into the kitchen. "Hi Lauren. Hi Y/N/N! Lovely morning we're having!"
Lauren faced Camila, her hand down in the box of Lucky Charms.
"Hi." Lauren smiled, putting some of the cereal in her mouth.
"So," Camila lifted herself up onto the counter. "What did y'all do last night?"
"Honestly?" I began. "I don't remember."
"Oh, I do," Lauren set the box down. "So after we smoked the weed -"
"Y/N!" Camila gasped. "You smoked weed?"
"Sorry?" I sheepishly apologized, shrugging my shoulders.
"Next time," Camila murmured. "Invite me." I chuckled.
"After we smoked weed.."
Lauren was giggling next to me. I rubbed my eyes, slightly laughing at Lauren. I looked through the bag, grabbing a bottle of spray paint, handing one to Lauren and getting one for myself.
I nearly tripped as I stood up, holding my hand out for Lauren to take.
"Y/N/N -" Lauren laughed as I pulled her up. "You're funny."
"I didn't say anything." I said, giggling along with Lauren.
"Exactly!" she grinned. "Now let's paint!"
"I don't exactly remember what we spray painted, we should go check it out later." Lauren said.
"Where'd y'all go?" Camila asked, her feet dangling.
"Behind the movie theater." I said, causing Camila's head to snap up. She locked eyes with me, and I knew that look. It's the, 'we're talking later' look. "Anyways, then what?"
"Well then I remember coming back to your house.." Lauren continued.
I shushed Lauren as we entered my house, shutting the door quietly. We walked up the stairs, Lauren wincing but staying quiet as she hit the corner of a desk.
I covered my mouth as I laughed, grabbing her hand and interlacing our fingers. I led her into my room, shutting the door and locking it. I turned on the lights, and once it was safe, I laughed aloud.
"Th-that wasn't funny," she pouted. "My s-side now hurts."
I softly chuckled, the alcohol making my mind blurry. I had no control on what I was saying or doing.
I set down at the edge of my bed, staring at Lauren as she looked around. It was quiet again, our breathing and footsteps only to be heard. She turned around, locking eyes with me.
"You have really pretty eyes. Like - I know people must tell you that a lot - but you deserve to here it, you know?" I babbled. "Like - your eyes are really special - they're just so beautiful." Lauren's cheeks were red, and she smiled.
"Thank you," she murmured. "You have pretty eyes too." I smiled at her, and then she sat down next to me.
Lauren rested her head on my shoulder, closing her eyes.
"I really like you, Y/N."
"I really like you too, Lauren."
"And then I guess we fell asleep," Lauren said. "I don't know. But it went something like that."
"Hm, well, get in the car - since y'all are already dressed - we're going to the theater!" Camila announced.
---
"Oh, wow." I stated, staring at the wall.
"What is that?" Camila furrowed her eyebrows. "All I see is green and blue. Is there some secret meaning behind that..blob?"
"What did you expect?" Lauren questioned. "We were high and drunk. It's not like we were gonna be good at it."
Before anyone could say anything else, Lauren's phone began to ring. She took it out of her pocket, and sighed.
"Hello?" she spoke into the phone. "Yeah - dad - I stayed at Normani's. N- I'm fine. Okay. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Love you too. Uh-huh. Okay, bye. Be there soon."
She hung up, turning towards us, "I need to get home. Drop me off?"
---
We pulled up to Lauren's house, Lauren being in the back and me in the passengers seat. She leaned forward.
"Bye Camila, bye Y/N." Lauren smiled at us. "Thanks for the ride, and thanks for last night, Y/N. I had fun."
"Yeah, me too. Bye, I'll see you later?" I said in a questioning tone.
"Maybe if you're lucky." she winked at me, then exited the car. Camila pulled off after Lauren entered the house. She snorted from next to me.
"What?" I inquired.
"Nothing," she shook her head, but then adding. "You totally like her."
"Maybe," I sighed, resting my head on the window. "But for now, she's just a friend."
