Chapter 7: Explanation?

Naruto watched as his beloved was shoved away in a prison. All kinds of questions crossed his mind. His mother, Kushina, placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Naruto. I'm sorry." Naruto's face tightened. He shook his mother's hand off and went after Sakura.

His mother called after him, but he kept running. 'No one is keeping her away from me!' Naruto thought to himself as he dodged police cars and his mother's rants.

He made it to the station and looked all over the place for Sakura. He rushed over to the receptionist. "Haruno! Haruno Sakura! Where is she?!"

"Sir, please calm down. She is right over there." The receptionist said pointing to a cell at the corner. Naruto rushed over. "Sakura!" Sakura looked up at Naruto, jade connecting with turqouise.

"I'll get you out of here Sakura don't worry!" Sakura walked towards him. "Naruto there's something I need to tell you." Sakura said, head hanging down. Kushina and Minato soon barged through the door calling Naruto's name.

"Dad! You need to get Sakura out of here!" Minato grabbed Naruto's wrist. "She's not who you think she is."

Naruto snatched his hand away from his father. "She saved my life!"

"But who put it in danger Naruto?!" His father yelled back. Naruto's eyes fell.

He walked past his father and mother. He looked up to the receptionist. "I want to place a bail."

"Um, Sir, I'm not sure I'm authorized to-"

"Just do it." The receptionist nodded and placed all the information in the computer. "Naruto! What do you think you're doing?!"

"I'm bailing Sakura out of jail." Naruto said not even looking at his father. "Naruto you have no idea what you are doing! Trust me. You'll wish you've never bailed her out." Naruto stayed silent and his father sighed and transported away.

His mother walked up to him. "Sweetie. I'm sorry. I wish I could do something. Just do whatever your heart wants. In the end, it's your life and you choose to live it." His mother said giving him a quick peck on the cheek and walking out.

Sakura rubbed her wrist where the police had tied her up. Her and Naruto walked silently next to each other. "Naruto?"

"Yes, Sakura." Naruto said looking at her. "I-I...need to tell you something." Sakura said, picking her words carefully. "I'm listening."

"Well. Your Dad was right. I'm not who you think I am." Naruto's face softened. "What?"

"I'm not that cool, popular high school girl you think I am. I'm part of Konoha's most powerful gang." Naruto stared at her in shock. "You're messing with me right? Tell me you are!"

"Naruto. I'm sorry! I didn't want you to find out like this!" Naruto clenched his fist and walked away leaving Sakura alone and guilty. Sakura did the last thing that would ever cross her mind. She kissed him. A violent, vicous gang member was kissing a dorky, weird nerd.

His eyes were wide open while Sakura was terrified to look. She parted from him, pink tainting her cheeks. Naruto rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "So...does this mean we're a thing?" Sakura blushed even more. "I guess s-so."

Naruto hopped around in joy. He tackled her in a hug. She returned the embrace and smiled. "Do you forgive me?" Naruto smiled wildly. "Of course I do! I can't be mad at my girlfriend." Naruto said chuckling, and making an emphasis on the word girlfriend.

Naruto smacked his arm playfully. "Don't wear it out, blondie." She reached for his hand, their fingers interlocking with each other.
