Chapter 9- What are Best Friends For

Clayton's POV

She keep staring at me but I didn't know what to say. How in hell did she find out? who told her? why did they tell her? does Elizabeth know about Lara? I went to speak but nothing came out. she closed her eyes and took a deep breath and for a second I seem her eyes sparkle then turn dark again. She clenched her jaw and started walking towards the door. I reached for her hand and grabbed it. She looked from her hands to my face with discuste in them.

"What do you think you are going touching me, do you want me to hurt you again"

"As long as it will make you stay, just-" I was cut of with her fist hitting my face again. Eli ran towards me but I motioned him away. I could handle this I didn't need help and anything that happened to me I deserve it.

"Do you want more"

"As much as it will take for you to listen to me"

She again punched me in the face, then again and again. There would be a major bruse in the morning. She smiled and walked towards me I wasn't sure what she was going to do so I just stood there. when out lips where inches apart. She stepped on my foot causing me to lean foreword. then she lifted her knee up to hit my chin and kicked me in the stomach to send me fling backwards. I hit the floor hard. Then started to cough. I tasted something in my mouth and when I slip it was blood. She froze when she seen the blood. the darkness in her eyes disappeared and a look of worry came apon her. She looked from the blood to my eyes. just then the door flung open and Lara's eyes turned into one thing and one thing only scared.

Mackenzie's POV

The whole time we were on our date I couldn't stop thinking about Lara. I know she said she would be fine but I had a hard time believing that. Kyle seemed to notice my tenseness and cut the date short. instead if eating at the restaurant he got the food to go. I was shaking in the car. I just hope she's okay and she's at home. When we reached the house I jumped out and ran to the door I pulled my keys out and opened the door.

"LARA" I ran into the living room where the TV was on she wasn't there. I ran past Kyle who was waiting at the door to the garage when I opened it I found that I was right. I was to late she was gone she took her motorcycle.

"Damit in Hell" I shouted as I hit my fist against the wall and tell my head rest. I felt a pair of hands on my waist. Then I felt his warm lips touch the back of my ear.

"We will find her don't worry"

I turned so I was facing him."What makes you think that"

He placed both of his hands on the wall to block my way from leaving. I felt a bit unsafe as much as I love Kyle. I don't know what type of trouble he has gotten himself

"I just now" A sever went threw my body. He looked into my eyes and then he pulled

away and started to walk to the car.

"Where are you going"

"We are going to find Lara my sweet"

He called me his sweet. I couldn't help but blush.That boy was just so amazing and hot. I snapped back into reality.

"Where is that" I said as I got into the car.

"Well you said she was heart broken by that guy she meet"

"Yeah Clayton what about it, when her dad passed she shaved her head and got high what does that have to do with dead"

"A lot. she killed her hair by cutting it off then she killed her spirt by getting high"

My mouth made the letter 'O'

"That right Im not just a pretty face"

I giggled "Where would she be then"

"His house"

My eyes opened wide. If she was there then he was I'm great danger. Lara was pretty violent not as much as me but she's still up there. I gave Kyle the address and before I knew it we were there. As we pulled into I seen Lara's motorcycle. I hope we weren't

to late. We ran to the door and I pushed it open to see Clayton on the floor spitting out blood. I shock my head in shock then shot my head to Lara who was standing just inches from him. I walked towards her and grabbed her by the back if her neck and pulled her down and starts walking to the door.

"Kyle go make sure he will be okay" I said just before I pushed her out the house and closed the door. Just as I turned around she started specking fast.

"I'm sorry Mackenzie's I didn't mean to hurt him that hard. I just wanted to him to feel the way I was feeling and to see he messed with the wrong girl. I didn't know he was going to start coughing up blood" she was breathing heavily as she finished her sentence. I walked up to her and hit her arm.

"Ough"

"That's for leaving the house and coming

here and breaking your promise and this"

I slapped her on the side of her head. "this is for stooping to his level " I hugged her tight "don't ever do that again I was so worried about you"

"I won't I promise, any way how was the date"

"Short and sweet now lets go inside get Kyle and talk to Clayton comely"

"Wait Kyle is inside the house"

"Yes why?"

"Um Eli might also be inside the house"

"What the hell No they can't meet OMG no why does bad things always happen to me"

"What are you going to do"

"Run away"

"What"

"Yeah I'm going to wait in the car you stay will Kyle and talk to Clayton and ill wait here"

"No your coming in with me if I have to face my problems then you do to"

"Why can't you just leave me alone here Lara"

"Cause what are best friends for"

A/N- OMG guys tomorrow is my last day of summer vacation then school starts again.
