Chapter 10- Heartless Monster?

Mackenzie's POV

As we sat down at the table it was pretty awkward. I sat between Kyle and Lara across Lara was Clayton and in front of me was a smiling Eli. Poor kid, ill have to make hits saying Kyle is my boyfriend and everything. Lara kept giving Clayton the death glair while he gave her lovey eyes. I was the first to break this awkward silence.

"Um....Lara.... Clayton.... um.....-" I was cut off by Kyle.

"As my beautiful girlfriend is trying to say is we are here and you guys need to start talking about your problems"

As Kyle said girlfriend I seen Eli's eyes grow

big and his mouth made the shape of an 'O'

"Yep what he said" I slapped Lara in the arm telling her it was her time to speck.

Lara's POV

"Clayton I have one question"

"Yes what is it"

"Why the hell didn't you tell me you were engaged"

"If I answer will you stop being mad at me"

"Yes" I lied the only way I was every to forgive him is if it's a very good reason and he will need back up.

"Oh really your going to forgive me just by answering" this guy really wanted to push my buttons

"Yes" he started to smirk did her find this amusing

"All I have to do is answer" he pushed me to far I stud up from my chair and hit my hand on the table

"Will you just answer the bloody question" he smirked again he had a look of satisfaction in his eyes like I just gave him something. I felt Mackenzie's grip on my hand when I meet her eyes it was pretty wild it looked like she was going to kill me but give me a high five all at the same time I waited for her words

"Sit down now"

"Why should I. I'm older and taller then you. you don't run me" what the hell did I just say. I was looking for an ass whooping wasn't I. she stood up from and looked

Me straight I'm the eye. I was shitting bricks.

"I said to sit down now! and do you think I

car if your older or taller then me it won't stop me from kicking your ass for the rest of your fucking life"

I looked from Mackenzie's eyes to a disappointed Kyle to a scared Eli and finally a smirking Clayton. When I looked back at Mackenzie I seen her arm was in a fist and her jaw was clenching. I sat down and looked at Clayton. In the corner of my eye I seen Mackenzie sit down and Kyle pull her into a hug. When I focused back to Clayton I realized he still hadn't answered.

"Clayton would you care to tell us why you

haven't answered my question yet"

"Because you have been throwing a hissy

fit"

I was about to say something rude but I bit my tongue and simply turned my head to Mackenzie. Mackenzie nodded her head and looked to Clayton.

"Listen here Clayton I didn't come here to save you from Lara's beating to come and beat you up my self and if you keep this up I will beat the living shit out if you until you need an ambulance and no one will help you this time"

He's eyes grew big as did Eli's again

"Well Lara it's a long story"

"And Clayton it takes a very short time to make Mackenzie's temper rise"

"Well"

"Well what"

"It's my parents"

"They told you to cheat! WOW mine always told me not to I guess they were wrong"

"No they told me never to cheat it's there fault that I'm engaged I never asked to be"

"And your point you have a voice don't you and don't you care your breaking another persons heart. Are you that heartless!"

"Lara No"

"No What, all your telling me is stuff I already know. Your a HEARTLESS

MONSTER!"

He's eye like dropped to under the table. He put his hands in his hands and was silent. After a few moments he looked up with tears in his eyes.

"Do you really think I'm a heartless monster"

"Yes,No"he started at me with a bit of

Hope. I don't know" I muttered under my breath "you didn't answering my question so how am I suppose to know"

"They why did you say it Lara, Why!" He stood up.Tears started to fall from his eyes. was he crying did I hurt him that bad.

"Clayton" I stood up from the table with tears of my own starting to form. Why was I crying isn't this what I wanted. I wanted him to feel pain. I couldn't help it though. I looked at him and asked him one more time.

"Why didn't you tell me"

"I was going to tell you Lara. I was just to scared. I was never good with girls and my parents are very pushy people I promised them by collage if I wasn't in a relationship

or strong one they could interfere with my love life. and when the time came I had no one so they chose someone for me I have never seen or even spoken to her before. Lara then when I meet you I forgot all about her and my parents. If I told you and you got mad you would leave and how would I then confront my parents then"

I looked at him and ran over to him and jumped into his arms. we were both crying. he bared his face into my neck as he cried I pulled away from him and stared him straight in his eyes.

"I love you Clayton"

"I love you to Lara"

We kissed and it was filled with so much passion. I had miss him so much even though it had been such a short period of

time. We both pulled away when we herd a voice.

"CLAYTON" It was a Man and woman. the woman had a tight grip on the man. they looked pretty young and were dressed very well. It was funny they looked like Clayton. that's when I realized I was standing

In Clayton's house and Clayton lives with her parents. When the words came out Clayton's mouth it made me want to run and hide.

So I made one as well. I guess it's Clift Hanger Monday. Anyway tomorrow is my first day back to school so I won't update as
