I'm literally at a restaurant rn so it's the perfect time ;]

It wasn't a very fancy place, but it was expensive nonetheless.

"Mike, you didn't have to do this for me." I smiled shyly.

"Of course I did. I want you to eat good, Jeremy." Mike wrapped his hand around my wrist, "Look at this." He said jokingly. I giggled before pushing him away.

We sat in a booth, since we were given the choice. It was a small booth, looking like it could only got one person on each side. It was fine with me, though.

"See anything you want?" Mike asked, looking through the menu.

I was going to say not really, but only out of reflex. With Mike, I didn't have to lie. In all honesty, the pictures made me drool. I hadn't eaten in over 24 hours, and my body was taking over my mind at this point. After telling him what I wanted, our waitress came over and smiled.

"Hello, gentlemen. Any idea what you want, yet?" She asked. I smiled a bit, she thought I was a boy. Mike saw my reaction, and told her what we wanted. After she left, I bit my knuckles to keep myself from squealing:

"Mike! She called me a gentlemen!" I whispered excitedly.

"I know, because you are." He smiled and laughed a bit. "You're so cute,"

I blushed, looking down and teething at my lip. He meant cute in a platonic way, right? He's got to be joking,

"H-How so?" I stuttered.

"Your excitement.. It's adorable." Mike looked me in the eyes. I could cry at the eye contact. It was absolutely amazing.

"So what happened last night?" He asked. I could feel myself go pale. I was hoping he'd forgotten about that..

"W-What do you mean?.." I responded innocently.

"Jeremy, you know what I mean." Mike's expression was full of concern.

"It just just a fight with my parents, don't worry." I lied.

"Did you cry yourself to sleep last night?" He asked.

"..Yes.." I admitted.

"It wasn't just a fight." Mike suddenly held my hand, making me blush. "Jeremy, please tell me."

"I told them how I felt, and they started yelling at me. That's all." I finally gave in.

"Jere.." Mike smiled sadly, "Don't worry about them, okay? Next time it happens, please call me. I'll answer no matter where I am."

"Really?" I smiled a bit.

"Really." He kissed my hand, making me turn a bright red. I sighed, finally deciding to ask him a question I'd been dying to ask him for months now.

"H-Hey Mike?" I shyly spoke.

"Hm?" He asked.

"Can I.. Can I ask you something?" I bit my lip.

"Of course. Is something wrong? Did I do something wrong?" He looked concerned again.

"No! No no no, it's not you.. Well, it is, but it's not bad or anything." I quickly responded, "It's just.. I don't know.. It kind of seems like you.. You, f-flirt with me, a lot.."

"Oh," Mike blushed.

"And your friends kind of, hint, at a few things.." I continued.

"Y-Yeah.. I guess they do, at times." He stumbled over his words, something I've never heard him do. It was so cute.

"So, now I'm gonna need you to be honest with me." I sighed.

He looked down, before looking me in the eyes again. His face was red in, what I assumed was embarrassment. The color of his face contrasted against his striking blue eyes. He smiled shyly, before muttering words that I never thought I'd hear from him.

"I love you, Jeremy."
