FADE IN:
VOICEOVER:
Statues; frozen images. Symbols of protection, liberation,
Conquest. Icons standing upon burning chariots promising to
provide light to those lost in darkness. Ready to smite those
who challenge the power of righteousness. However, statues are
still, trapped between two timelines; two worlds. Struggling
to fit with contemporary society and struggling to take to
heart that the time of their world has come to an end.
Travellers from the past. Present without any future.
FADE OUT.
FADE IN:
EXT: PARK - NIGHT.
MALAKAI ELLIOTS is standing over an open grave with his hand
on the tombstone. He opens his eyes revealing his unusual
silver eyes. He clenches his fist as anger fills his heart. He
falls to his knees and puts his head in his hands. Etched into
his gravestone, was his own name, and in the grave, a skeletal
figure wearing a suit that he immediately recognised.
MALAKAI
(Roars in anguish)
An elderly passer-by, who noticed the unusual display of
lightning striking the gravesite creeps into the cemetery. He
stops as he hears the cries. Squinting his eyes, he notices
the young man on the floor and he walks cautiously over to
him.
PASSER-BY
You okay there, son?
MALAKAI
What year is it? How long have I been gone?
PASSER-BY
(puzzled) It's 2010 son. Shouldn't you be at home? Your family must be worried. Tell me
where you live I'll walk you home.
He touches Malakai on his shoulder. Malakai throws his hand
away and grabs his neck. He looks directly at the elderly man
and lifts him off his feet, his pointed nails digging into his
skin. His silver eyes flashed with resentment.
PASSER-BY
(terrified) Please! Don't hurt me! P-Please! I was only trying
to help! Please!
Malakai raises his fist slowly to the air and lunges at the
passer-by. The passer-by closed his eyes tightly anticipating
the blow to his face.
MALAKAI
(dropping him) Get lost.
The passer-by scrambles to his feet and bolts down the
alleyway. Malakai stands clenching his fists again.
