Authors Note: So this chapter is kind of short. However Chapter 7 will be extremely long. I had one of those issues where I wanted to keep going, but what happens next deserves its own little chapter. So Ch.6 is the short chapter, ch.7 will probably be longer than usual. Thanks for reading and enjoy!

The next day I woke up with his arms wrapped around me. I quietly and slowly untangled myself from him before going into the bathroom. Yawning I used the bathroom and then washed my hands. I then brushed my teeth and washed my face. I peeked into my room and he was still out cold. I sighed and went to the shower, turning it on and stepping in. Thirty minutes later, with my morning ritual complete I stepped back into my room, towel wrapped around me. By this time he was up and I felt his eyes on me as I stepped into my closet. I pulled out a pair of blue high-waisted jeans, a black t-shirt with DON'T printed on it in while lettering. When I stepped back out his eyes were still on me as I went into my dresser and pulled out a black bra and matching underwear. I dressed in silence, and I knew he watched my every move. The silence4 was broken when his phone started ringing. He picked it up and looked to see who was calling before sighing and laying it back on the dresser face down.
I didn't really want to know, I already had an idea but I asked anyways, "Who was that?"
"No one important..." was his reply quickly.
His phone stopped ringing and I said nothing. Then it started again and I said, "It might be an emergency. You should go ahead and answer it."
He didn't make a move towards his phone. Instead he got out of my bed and walked towards me. I had my hand out against his chest stopping him before he got to close to me.
"I have an important appointment." I said in an even tone. "And I'm pretty sure she wants to know why you didn't come home last night."
He looked away and then started to say something but I cut him off. "You can lock my door on your way out."
I slipped on my black ballerina flats and walked out of my room. I got into the rental and drop to the shop where my care was located. The mechanic came out and gave me a look that told me everything I needed to now.
"You can't fix it Jerry?" I asked the man who looked to be in his late forties with saying blond hair.
"Well I could, but the parts alone are expensive. You are much better off just buying a brand new car."
I sighed, I was looking for an excuse to buy a new car. But me and Winter had been through so much together. She was my first car.
"I remember you mentioning that you like Chargers, my son in law owns a dodge dealership. If you tell him I sent you he will give you a great deal."
I stood and gave Jerry a warm smile. "I appreciate everything so much."
"It's the least I can do. After you did your article on my shop in the paper business really picked up. We were doing so badly back then and that article helped out a lot." Jerry winked at me. "Now you go on and check out some cars."
As I walked back to my rental car, my cellphone started ringing. I didn't recognize the number but I picked up anyways.
"Hello?"
"This is Jasir's friend, the one from Tasha's party..." he said slowly.
I smiled, "The one that was talking mad shit during dominoes? I remember who you are, Bryson right?"
Bryson chuckled, "Yeah, yeah, yeah. They should've warned me I was about to get hustled. I've never been beaten that badly before."
I laughed, "I could've taken it a little easier, you did have no clue what you were getting into."
"I was wondering if you would be opposed to having lunch with me today."
I smiled, I could appreciate a man that got straight to the point. "I would love to have lunch with you today. However I need to buy a car today. Do you know anything about cars?"
"Is Wesley Snipes black?"
I laughed, "Point taken. You are free to tag along with me on my car buying adventures. And if it doesn't take too long, we can grab a bite to eat."
"Sounds like a plan...which dealership are you going to?"
"A dodge dealership. I can text you the address, I was about to head there now."
"Cool, see you then."
I hung up and as I was sending him the address a strange feeling came over me. In three years every single guy that had ever asked me out got turned down. I never even flirted with guys and I flirted with him at Tasha's cookout, and it was not purposely to make Quentin jealous. I let out a deep sigh. A part of me felt guilty about it too. I started to call him back and cancel, but then I remembered. I was single, and Quentin was still in a relationship with someone else. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to get to know Bryson. Maybe Bryson was just the thing I needed to take my mind off of Quentin.
I sent Tamera a quick text letting her know that I agreed to meet up with Bryson and if she didn't hear from me by the end of the night to call the cops. Then I got into my rental and headed towards the dealership.
