She shoved her wild hair from her face as she raced back home.  She sped down the walkway, dodged an elderly lady with a stroller. Her thoughts swirled in her head, thinking of how much trouble she was in. She turned the corner and slammed into the frame a of man.

"Ooof" She managed as the wind got knocked out of her. She was  sprawled down on the ground two blocks from her house. The waves could be heard crashing on the beach less than 100 meters away. She looked around for the jerkface who knocked her down, but she couldn't see him. The ground under her wiggle a bit as she propped herself up on her elbows.

"Uggggghhhh" the low moan exalted from under her and she realized that she wasn't on the concrete but on top a the person she slammed into. She struggled to get off of him as fast as she could. He lay down on the concrete mumbling as she dusted of her pants.

The man, or rather the boy got up. He glared at he rambling his ribs, where she'd elbowed him. His shaggy blond hair looked as if he'd just gotten out of bed. His red shirt was crumpled up, and a fin layer of concrete dust covered his jeans. His eyebrows were furrowed as he looked at her petite frame, long curly red hair. She could see the shock in his face as he noticed her eyes, one blue and the other a chocolate brown.

"Watch were you're going next time, half pint. " His rich voice was overloud. She had to look up to stare his eye to eye as he was almost two heads taller than she was.

"Don't you have a much better view of were you're going from up there? Why don't you watch were you're going next time. "  she tried to muster as much emphasis she could into the you're.

He looked her over again then laughed. His cold stare seemed to rippled away like a wave as he cracked a smile showing his straight teeth. She almost had to squint, the gleam of his teeth was so bright.

"You're pretty feisty aren't you? Wait ! I'm guessing I won't like your answer. I'm Isaac Tarsley by the way. " he extended his hand then said " I guessed we just started out on the wrong foot. "

She looked at his hand not to sure what to do. She looked back up to his baby blue eyes and decided. Her hand extended than disappeared into his giant one. He looked at her as if expecting something, but She didn't know what he was thinking.

"Um... And your name is....?"

The awkward silence was so thick she could have sliced it with a knife. She was really tempted to tell him her name just to hear him say it, but her dad would blow a fuse if he knew what she was tempted to do.

"I don't know about you but I don't have the habit of telling strangers my name. For all I know you could be a creepy stalker waiting to get to your computer to google every single thing about me. " he laughed at that. She hefted my bag onto my shoulder, turned then tan. As she turned the corner she looked back to see him watching her go a bewildered look on his face. She  smiled at him the continued on, back home.

She dropped my bag on the floor then turned to rummage in the fridge for her daily chocolate Greek chairs yogurt. She had had one each day when she got home since third grade. She was seriously obsessed.

"Kainsly, that you?" Her dad called from his study next door. He walked into the kitchen kissed her head then asked how her day was.

"Pretty good, but this oaf rammed into me on my way home." She turned so he wouldn't see her blush. Why was she blushing? She thought.

"Was he a handsome prince come to knock you off your feet?" Her dad wiggled his eyes rows making her giggle. She shook her head, but inwardly she was nodding. "Well good, because if he was I'd have to bring my shotgun out."

"Dad you do know I'm lost seventeen. Just because I'm the height of a ten year old doesn't mean I'm actually ten. " her dad ruffled her head, gave a sad smile.
"Don't be so in a hurry to grow up, I'll miss you when you're gone you know. "
"Yah daddy, I know." She kissed him on the cheek then went up to her room. She opened her laptop and started her search on the infamous Isaac Tarsley.

And I accused him of being some creepy stalker. She thought as she scanned through
his Facebook account. But little did she know that Isaac Tarsley would change her life.

~
