Chapter 2: The Present

The sunlight shining through the big window in a little room with two teenagers asleep. While the light is showing, it hits Sam's eyes and makes him get up from bed. When Sam was trying to wake himself up, he looked at his phone and just realized that him and Taurtis woke up late for the 5th time this year at Yandere Highschool. Sam starts panicking and shakes Taurtis up from bed. "TAURTIS! WAKE UP! WE ARE LATE FOR SCHOOL!" Sam screamed. Taurtis opens his eyes and is still sleepy,but tries to listen to the screaming teenager who sounds like a mom that is late for work. Taurtis sticks one of his fingers into his left ear to listen better. Sam starts changing into clothes really fast since Teacher Gareth, their first class in the morning, gets really angry when both of them are late to his class. Taurtis lazily gets up and puts on his uniform. He packs in his lunch every morning as usual. Sam is running up and down the stairs trying to find his backpack and Mr.Snugglemuffins. Taurtis doesn't really care about school or about anything really,unless Sam is in it. Taurtis gets Doritos and Mountain Dew as his lunch and packs Sam's lunch like his,but with Pocky and Carrots."Taurtis,hurry up please! We have 10 minutes until Gareth's class starts!" Sam says loudly while running to the front door."It's alright,Sam. We always are late and I don't get what the problem is anyway. All we do in that class is listen to him talk about his wife and asks us questions about who killed her,"Taurtis says calmly while walking outside with Sam. Sam puts his fingers on his chin and thinks about what Taurtis said."I agree with you, Taurtis, but we will still get in trouble so I don't get why you are acting like its no big deal,"Sam says while staring at the houses in the neighborhood. Taurtis and Sam are almost to school and the Bell is about to ring any minute now. Both teenagers run-walk inside the school and try to hurry up. Sam starts running up the stairs,while Taurtis just takes his time walking up them. Once they get on the 2nd floor of the school, they walk to Gareth's room only a few seconds after the bell. Everyone in the class starts looking at the front classroom door where they see Sam and Taurtis standing there. Teacher Gareth looks at the boys and says,"You both are late. Please sit down quietly because we are about to start class." Sam nervously walks to his desk near the window and Taurtis walks normal to his desk and just puts his hand on his check to hold his face up from the desk. "Okay class! Good morning to you all and I hope you like today's assignment!" Gareth says a little loud so that everyone can hear him. Sam turns his head to Gareth to listen since he likes good assignments and does his homework once he gets home. Taurtis was about to fall asleep or draw on the desk,but he decided to turn his head where Sam is sitting. He likes Sam,but he doesn't sometimes get him. Like yeah, Sam is weird sometimes and acts shy a lot,but he doesn't get why. Taurtis only wants to look at Sam because he isn't paying attention to the teacher and because he has this feeling in his heart that is wanting him to look at him. Sam is paying attention to the teacher while he speaks about the assignment and then starts smiling. "That is your assignment for class! Please find a partner to do this assignment with and the assignment ends at the end of class today," Gareth says. Taurtis wasn't listening to Gareth,but he was blushing the color of a rose because of watching Sam smile. Taurtis' heart is pounding a lot and he feels like he is about to barf out all the nervousness out of him at any second. Taurtis face plants his face on to his desk so that Sam wouldn't see his red cherry face. Sam pokes Taurtis' shoulder."Hey Taurtis, do you want to be my partner for the assignment? I don't want Invader to come ask me because she will just get creepy and make me do weird things around her," Sam said cringing about the thought of him partnering up with Invader. Taurtis looks up from his desk and sees Sam with a smile on his face. Taurtis blushes again after seeing his Sam's smile. "S-S-Sure," Taurtis stutters. Sam jumps up in the air with a fist in the air screaming,"Yay!" Taurtis was glad to be friends with Sam and to be with him everyday. "Wait, what's the assignment about, Sam?"Taurtis questions. Sam pouts at Taurtis. Sam angrily says,"Were you listening to the teacher at all? He just told us out loud about it and you didn't hear one thing?" Taurtis shakes his head up and down like a idiot would. Sam tells Taurtis about the assignment for a few minutes."WHAT!? That's the assignment!" Taurtis yells. Sam shushes Taurtis because everyone was staring at him. "Yes it is. Why are you making a big deal about it?" Sam whispers to Taurtis. Taurtis starts to write a list of reasons why. After writing, Taurtis gives the list to Sam.
Sam starts reading the List:
1.) It's stupid
2.) I don't want to do homework
3.) I don't want to do a play about two dating couples!
4.) WE ARE GUYS!
Sam finishes the list,crumbles it up,and throws it at Taurtis' forehead. "What was that about?" Taurtis questioned. Sam looks at Taurtis deep in the eyes and says," Who cares if we are guys and if it is homework or about two dating couples! We are doing this! You are my partner and friend, right? We need to do things with each other." Taurtis blushes a light pink on his face and then Sam starts to notice it."Taurtis, are you blushing?" Sam questions. Taurtis blushes more and starts to stutter. " N-N-No! I'm not blushing! W-W-What are you talking about!?" Sam starts knowing that Taurtis is lying so he just goes along with it. " Okay." The bell rings for lunch. All the students, but Sam and Taurtis left the class to eat lunch. "Sam, go to lunch. I will be down there in a minute. I need to think about something," Taurtis says to Sam. " Okay! I'll sit by J aka JtheStar,"Sam says walking out of the room. Taurtis puts his head down and starts to think about why he started blushing." Do I like Sam? I like him as a friend, but not like that!" Taurtis gets up and shakes his head around then starts to slap his cheeks. Taurtis got up from his desk and started walking to lunch. " No! I don't like Sam like that!" Taurtis thought. When he walked down the stairs, he saw Dorito chips on the floor. Taurtis followed the chips and it lead to Sam and J with messy faces full of Doritos and Mountain Dew. Taurtis helps them clean up their faces, hands, and floor mess." Thanks,Taurtis!" Sam said happily. Taurtis turns around so that Sam doesn't see him blushing. Sam and J start giggling and that makes Taurtis blush even more than ever today. Taurtis wished he didn't have to see this cutie's face everyday so close to his.
