"JUST TAKE A seat here." Ms. Reum told Yoongi as soon as he walked in. He looked to the left to find something that looked kinda of like a love seat – not exactly a couch, but not a chair either.
He did as she said, taking a seat on the furniture. His eyes darted around, realizing that there was a scalpel, a flashlight and bonds on the table in front of him. Curiosity threatened to surface, but Suga decided he was better off waiting for an explanation.
"So," he started, glancing at the bored looking Hyejin seated across from him before resting his focus on Ms. Reum. "What exactly am I supposed to do?"
She smiled at him. "Go to sleep." She said simply, picking up a pen.
"They don't always happen when I fall asleep." Yoongi informed her. "Most of the time they come out of nowhere. In class, at the park."
Making a little sound of interest and slight displease, Hyejin leaned forward. "Then close your eyes. You always have your eyes closed, don't you?"
He hadn't ever mentioned that to her. Watching Hyejin skeptically, Yoongi tried to get comfortable, although he knew he'd end up sweaty and shaking no matter what. He could ask her about it later. "Don't... Yeah." He said, taking s deep breath and closing his eyes.
His eyes opened.
The space around him was white, and it appeared to go on forever. Yoongi spun in a circle, trying to figure out what was up, down, north, east, south, west. In this space, there was nothing; he wasn't even sure if there was gravity.
"My, my, Yoongi, what do we have here?" The voice was back. Yoongi spun around, finding himself now faced with a red wall. On the ground was a small table with six covered silver platters laid across it.
Something shifted on his right. "I wonder, this is the first time you've come willingly." It sounded like it was on his left now. "Why is it?"
"Because I want you to leave me the fuck alone." Yoongi said, twisting his head this way and that in attempt to put a face to the voice.
There was silence for a moment, when all of a sudden there was a cold breath in his ear.
"Do you want to die?"
Suga's eyes widened as he whipped around, but nothing was there. "No! Why – Why would I ever want that?" His brow was furrowed, and suddenly he felt as if he couldn't recall what his name was. "Why... Would I want to die?"
He looked down. The urge to lift the lid to the furthermost platter made his fingers tingle and his head spin. He got on his knees in front of the table, and slowly lifted the lid.
Screaming, Yoongi jumped away. There was Jin's head, bloodied and bruised, surrounded by what could've been beautiful side dishes. "For starters, you're unattractive." Jin spoke, making Yoongi scream again. "Ugly people don't have the right to live. You taint the world, making it undesirable."
Jin began to cough, and Yoongi tried to cry out as blood sputtered from his mouth. Yet he couldn't help but watch as his friend's head lolled to the side, life fading from his eyes.
The next lid lifted as if by some other unnatural force. There was Namjoon, who at first glance looked fine, until Yoongi noticed the hole in the side of his head from which his brains were spilling out. "Not to mention the fact that you're stupid. Stupid people are a burden. Do you know what a burden is, or do you need me to explain it?"
Suga was cradling himself as he watched the last of Namjoon's brain fall into the platter, his leader dying right after. "Stop! Please, stop it!" He yelled, but it seemed as if no one was listening as the next one lifted.
Hoseok. The once hopeful Hoseok looked so miserable. As if all the light had been sucked out of him. Yoongi dug his fingers into the skin of his arms, trying so hard not to scream again. "There's no hope for people like you. You might as well just die."
And as the life from Hoseok's eyes got lost in the space, Yoongi felt the tears fall down his cheeks.
But it wasn't over yet.
Jimin's head came up next, and the peach haired boy hung his head in between his knees in attempt to muffle his cries. "Jimin! Please, not Jimin! Just stop!"
"Why stop, Yoongi?" Jimin's voice was surrounding him, as if he were underwater. "You need to know. Need to know how unnecessary you are, how happy all of us would be if you were gone."
He cried harder. Why was this happening? Why did he feel so powerless?
Yoongi carefully peeked an eye out. Jimin had long since died, but Taehyung was there, staring blankly at him. Yoongi almost felt like laughing; even in his dreams, Taehyung would always be Taehyung, right?
"Never mind all that, do you know how incredibly boring everyone finds you?" Taehyung spoke, making Yoongi choke on another sob. "No one needs another dull wall in their life. No one needs you."
"Please, Taehyung, please stop." Yoongi cried, staring at his friend who seemed to be enjoying his pain. "You - You'd never say that. You'd... You'd never..."
"Damn! Just a second too late." Jungkook teased him. Yoongi could only stare in shock as the smile that had crawled onto Taehyung's face suddenly dropped and his eyes closed. "Look at what a baby you are, Yoongi. Crying over people who don't even care about you. That's pathetic. You're pathetic."
"Stop! I don't wanna hear it!" Yoongi yelled, shutting his eyes and pressing his hands over his ears. But nothing would do. He could feel Jungkook inside his head, hear his voice-
Not his voice, the voice.
"Suck it up, loser. This is your reality."
And all he could do was cry and scream as he fell to the floor.
