Why does sleep exist? All you do is lay in bed waiting to fall into a slumber, not knowing if you are going to walk up tomorrow. Before you fall asleep that excruciating 5 minutes to an hour are the worst since it gives you all the time you need to think about how everything in your life is messed up. It makes you think about how you don't have a job, that your family and everyone you know is all the way on the other side of the country, that the rent of your small apartment is due tomorrow and you don't have the money, and how you don't know anyone in the whole state of California which is where you decided to move to after college on an impulse because you saw a commercial of Beyonce there. Oh, sorry that's probably not what most people think about right before they fall asleep because everyone is not me, Isabelle Macoy.
It's 11:57 p.m. and that's all I have been thinking about, my crazy, messed up life. After stressing out for about another 30 minutes I finally get whisked away into my nightmare filled sleep.
Little did I know that I would wake up tomorrow and that my craving for ice cream would cause me to be in a car with a mafia leader.
