Hey, fellas! I'm up with another chapter. Please tell me if you like my story or not through your comments and votes! :)

"Raven?" David tugged at the bottom of my tank top.

I jumped up and turned around, too scared to move further.

"Yeah?" I whispered.

"Here. I've finished the milk." He handed me the glass.

"Okay." I took it and placed it back on the sink. "Go back in your room, David."

He nodded and ran back upstairs.

I took the paper and sat down on the couch, thinking and examining it.

Who could this person be? Graham George. Never heard of this name. Parapsychologist meant a person who researches on ghosts and demonic possessions. What was his business here?

Maybe a phone could be of use. Phone!

I went in my room and took my phone out from the drawer of the study table.

As I pressed the start button, the home screen showed up with a wallpaper of me and my mum when I was five.

But low! There was no network. How could that be possible? I mean, when I had arrived here in morning, I had full network.

This was really irritating. Then from where the heck can I get an internet access? Nor can I call anyone. The table clock showed 7 pm.

David. He would know everything about this house.

I knocked at David's door and he opened it with a smiling face.

"David, I wanna ask you something." I held his hand and made him sit on his little bed.

There were two bedtime story books kept on his bed.

"What?" He giggled as I caressed his cheeks.

"Little one, do you have any phone in this house?" I asked calmly.

"Phone? A cell phone?" He winked. "Yes. Mum and Dad use those."

"But I and Poppy aren't allowed to touch them." He added.

"Do they use their phones at home?" I inquired.

"Yes. They get calls often." He answered.

That meant their phones work in the house. They had no network problem.

Then why mine?

"Can you read me a story?" He grinned.

"Sure. Don't you wanna have dinner first?"

"No. I'm not hungry. But I dunno about Poppy." He frowned.

"Well, I'll ask her." I had to face that weird girl.

"I'll be back in a few minutes." I put him on bed with his books and left.

I took a deep breath before knocking at Poppy's door.

The door opened with a creak and I moved a little backward.

There stood Poppy with messy hair, wearing her night suit.

"Hey, Poppy. Just wanted to ask whether you want anything to eat." I smiled. "I was about to cook some by for dinner."

She stared at me with wide eyes.

"Poppy, are you okay?" I was really tensed.

"Yes." I heard a faint sound.

"Okay. Do you want anything for dinner?" I asked again.

Before she could say anything, a coughing fit gripped her and she coughed loudly. So loud that the sound echoed in the house.

"I'll get some water." As I was about to turn, I saw something red on the floor where Poppy stood.

Blood. Oh no!

The coughing had stopped. Both her hands were in front of her mouth. Dark red blood dropped from them on the floor. I could see her lips covered with the same blood.

I was already feeling nauseated at the sight of blood. I froze.

What was wrong with her?

"Poppy?" I was already scared, and my voice came out almost like a whisper.

Without saying anything, she shut the door on my face.

I stood outside, dumbfounded.

What the hell was going on here? First that parapsychological message and then this. I needed to figure it out.

I thought of exploring this house.

I made some pasta for me and gulped it down as quickly as possible. Then I thought of entering in Ansel and Madeline's room.

I made sure that David was asleep and found him drooling on bed.

Thankfully, he didn't made me to read him stories that night.

It was 9 pm. The doctors were still absent.

I made my way to their room. As I pushed the door, it didn't open.

Locked! Why the hell did they lock their room?

No doubt, there was something strange going on here.
