I woke up in Lucas' bed again. I wrapped the loosely draped covers around me more tightly, receiving a grunt from the other side of the bed.
"Jesus Skye, don't hog the covers to yourself" Lucas grumbled.
"Gah! I didn't see you!"
"It's fine, I was joking."
He stood up.
"It's my last day of school today..." He mumbled. "I wanna make a show infront of Chloe."
"What kinda show?" I asked.
"I want to make her jealous. I know that's mean and all but yeah."
"I'm up for that. But I have one question." I said seriously.
"Uh, okay?"
I got out of the bed so I was standing facing him.
"Do you... Do you really love me? Or are you just saying that so I'll have a happier life?"
"Skylar Rose Black." He said, his voice loud.
How the hell did he know my middle name?
"What you've just said, is actual bullshit."
And with that, he swept me up with his arm and crashed his lips against mine.
I was too shocked to respond.
I didn't know how to respond actually.
After a moment he pulled his head away and let me down.
"I'm going to get changed" he mumbled, grabbing the clothes lying on the back of his chair and walking through to the bathroom.
Ah.
So... He did love me back...
Lucas' POV
Shit, what had I done? How selfish was it for me to have done that?
Shit shit shit.
What if she didn't like me back? What if she now hated me?
I hit the sink with my fist. No, shut up.
"Lucas...?" Skye called softly.
"Are you okay?""Yeah, I'm fine... Just banged my elbow" I sat down on the ground, my head in my hands.
"You're a good liar," she said, louder.
"And you're terrible" I sighed, putting my shirt on.
I opened the door to see Skye standing there, her eyes red.
"Why've you been crying?" I immediately asked.
"Why are you angry at yourself?" She replied, looking down at the ground.
"Because I shouldn't have done that, I'm sorry..."
"Lucas... It's fine"
"Okay... If it's fine, then why were you crying?"
"Because... I don't want you to go..."
"Stay positive, for both our sakes..." I said, hugging her.
"I don't want to leave you either."
We were nearly late for school.
I, quite frankly, didn't care about my reputation anymore. Why should I? Nobody's gonna care when I'm gone.
