Fiona’s POV

It was so adorable watching Louis and Rose together, they should be a couple but Rose is dating Harry. I was standing at the till texting Jake and planning where to meet him after work when Louis quickly walked out of the store Rose calling after him, I was about to follow them when my phone dinged signalling I had a message. It’s from an unknown number, should I open it? Yeah I should.

‘Unknown- Sorry obviously Rose wasn’t good enough xx Jamie’

I read the message over and over making sure it wasn’t a fake, what could that bitch mean? Before I could walk out of the store Rose came rushing back in tears spilling down her pink cheeks.

“Rose! What happened?” I exclaim running to her. She just pushes me away and walks to her phone. This is the thing with Rose instead of building bridges she builds walls to high for most people to climb.

“Niall? Can you pick me up? I don’t think I could drive home like this,” She says through her phone. She hung up and turned to me.

“Can you please drive my car home? I need a girl’s night,” She fake smiles at me. I agree though and take her keys from her out-stretched hand.

I wonder what happened with her.

Niall’s POV

I was sitting at the Jamiesons minding my own business when my phone rang I looked to see it was Rose before answering quickly.

N- Hey Rose whats up? I heard sniffling on the line then Rose spoke up.

R- Niall? Can you pick me up? I don’t think I could drive home like this

N- Sure thing love but whats wrong?

R- I’ll tell you late, see you soon?

N- Yeah see you…

I finshed before she hung up. I placed my phone down and walked over to the keys grabbing them and walking out to the van. I jumped in and started it up before driving to the store. I pulled up and jumped out running into the shop. I saw Fiona at the register.

“Hey Fi! Where’s Rose?”

“Out back I’ll get her for you,” She smiles weakly before walking to the back, I can see this is a big deal because it’s obviously affected people around her too. She came back with a puffy, red eyed Rose. She instantly rushed to me and just cried, I put my arms around her and held her there, seeing her like this melted my heart.

“What happened?” I ask Fiona.

“You know as much as I do, I’m closing up the shop now there is no one else coming in today, BRI!” She yells behind her. Oh no Bri’s here! Do I look good? Crap! Bri walked to the front looking up from her phone and smiling at me, before turning to Fiona.

“Yes?” She asks sweetly.

“We’re closing up and having a girls night! You know what to bring?” Fiona replies.

“Yep! I will bring my onesie and the food!” She exclaims turning back to me.

“See ya Nialler!” She exclaims ruffling my hair and skipping out of the store.

“Come on Rose lets get you home,” I say walking out of the shop with Rose held bridal style in my arms.

Just as I was walking out I bumped into someone. I looked up to see Louis looking at Rose and I. He looked at Rose and his expression turned from worry to sorrow.

“Niall, I’ll take her,”

“No I’ve got her,” I reply gruffly.

“Niall, please?” He begs looking at me with puppy dog eyes.

“Fine,” I say passing over Rose. She looks up at Louis and breaks down in his arms gripping onto his shirt. She started sobbing and saying ‘I’m so sorry Lou’ over and over again. I look shoot him a questioning look, he just shakes his head and walks to the van getting in the back with Rose still safely tucked in his arms. I must admit I am extremely jealous right now. Well it’s only the ride home.

Louis’ POV

I was sitting in the back with Rose still sobbing and saying sorry countless times.

“It’s okay Rose, you didn’t do anything right now we have to take care of you okay?”

“Okay Lou,” She says snuggling into my chest, I tighten my arms around her figure and pull her closer to me. I just can’t believe this would happen to her, I mean she’s sweet, kind and beautiful inside and out.

When we get home she has fallen asleep in my arms. As I’m carrying her she starts to squirm and twist in my arms, almost making me drop her, just as I’m about to place her on the couch she screams and jumps up, she looks around before settling and dropping to her knees sobbing again. I wrap my arms around her and pull her up to look at me.

“Rose I know you’re hurting but it will go away soon, you have lots of people who love and care for you around you to help you get through this and we promise to do whatever it takes to make you happy again, be that Rose we all know and love,” I say looking into her crystal blue eyes.

“Thank y-you Lou,” She chokes out before sniffling and throwing her arms around my neck and holding me close.

I pick her up and sit on the couch her in my lap, she shuffles down so only her head is in my lap and looks up at me tear streaks covering her face the little make up she was wearing smudged down her cheeks, but she still looks beautiful to me. I start to sing to her, to try and make her feel better.

“Girl it should be me driving to your house knocking on your door and kissing you on the mouth…” I start up Loved You First the whole time looking down at Rose taking in her face and the expression the shows behind her eyes that she has kept in for so long.

“…Baby I loved you first,” I finish letting the room fall into a comfortable silence. I look at Rose and wipe her tears away with my thumb, she looks at me with a regretful look before speaking.

“Louis, as sweet as that was, I can’t do this not after what just happened,”

“I know Rose you can take your time and I will wait as long as you need, may it be, seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or years I will wait for the time when you say yes,” I smile at her as I play with her hair.

“That is probably the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me,” She sobs before reaching up to pull me into a hug, we pull back just as ‘they’ walk in.

Oh no.
