Look around you. Observe at least 3 things you see.
Are any of those things entirely perfect ?
Go look at yourself in the mirror. I bet an arm and a foot,if I ask you to look for a flaw in yourself, within the first 10 seconds, you will name at least one flaw. A defect. A thing which you find non appealing or perhaps even a reason for people's dislike towards you.
A lot of times I find it very fascinating to look at a person and take in every single detail of them. To observe every little thing that makes them different from the others. The things that make them unique. And by doing this I have learnt one thing. The things of yourself that you say are defects or flaws are actually what make you different from the others. What make you you. What make you unique. And you may cringe thinking that the one little spot you got from a pimple or the scar you got from falling off the bicycle is one big sign board in the middle of your face that flashes red signals to everybody looking at your face and says "look at me I'm so ugly" is not. Nobody barely even notices it. And it's not that bad. Trust me. Once you accept your flaws and no longer feel as though they are some kind of defects on your face or not just your face but your entire body, you will gain a lot of confidence.
Think of it this way. You have a scar on your hand from some incident which is as hilarious as falling off the bed in your sleep, be proud of it. At least you've got a live proof of a fun incident in your life that will help you share a good laugh with your friends. And not just scars, if you think your body figure is not nice, it's just in your head. If you think you are okay with your figure then nobody's opinion about you in this entire world matters. And if you think it's actually a problem in you or a defect in you then that can be sorted. If you think you are fat and you don't like it, do something for it. Start working out. Start jogging. Work your way into your ideal body shape. And when you will look at the end result in the mirror and have that satisfactory smile, your confidence goes up to a whole new level.
But the point is, that don't be afraid of your flaws . Embrace them. They are the things that make each one of us different from the other. They are not as bad as you think they are. And I'm not just saying this to make you feel better. I have experienced this in real life as well. I have a little sister. She's about six years old. When she was born she had a noticeable pink mark at the side of her cheek right beside her ear. Obviously, she's just six years old so she is very happily oblivious to the myths and rules we humans have made around us to look perfect all the time. But the minute I saw it for the first time, I knew she is going to struggle so bad with it when she grows up and instantly felt bad for her. But you know what's the fun part ? 98 % of the people who have met my little sister say that they find it adorable. ADORABLE. The thing that I used to think is going to haunt her for the rest of her life is what people are adoring in her.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the lesson I've learnt. It is all just in your head. All these little things that you hate about yourself are the things that make you unique. That make you different. And besides, how sad would it be if we were these perfect clones walking the earth with no defects at all. We were not born to be perfect. We were not born to be flawless. We were born to be beautiful with our own little set of defects. They're what make us beautiful. And all of these rules of perfection made by our society are absolute junk. You don't have to be skinny to be beautiful. You don't have to have a spotless glowing face to be attractive. You just have to be you. And you have to be happy with you. THAT is what's going to make you beautiful.
