Christine POV

Raoul led me down the stairs as the song grew louder. Wait. He was singing with me. I knew the song. As we finally stepped on the final step we stood a story above the entire crowd as they sat looking up to us. My heart was going to burst. Raoul kept his hand entwined with mine until he began to sing.

"No more talk of darkness, forget these wide-eyed fears," he kept ahold of my hand but I finally let go and left a large space between us and avoided his eyes.

"I'm here, nothing can harm you, my words will warm and calm you, let me be your freedom," he came next to me and gently took my chin with one of his hands and turned my face to him.

"Let daylight dry your tears, I'm here, with you, beside you, to guard you and to guide you," I took a step backward and looked out into the crowd. With adrenaline running through my veins and my heart about to jump out of my chest, I finally sang quietly.

"Say you'll love me every waking moment," I look down but raise my head and look into the crowd, "Turn my head with talk of summer time, say you need me with you now and always," I'm looking for him. Although I know he isn't here, I felt as if he was watching me. My angel, my Erik. I felt him near me.
"Promise me that all you say is true...That's all I ask of you."

"Let me be your shelter, let me be your light," Raoul took my hand he walked backward as we walked across the platform, "You're safe, no one will find you, your fears are far behind you," He squeezed my hand as I let go and walk in front of him.

"All I want is freedom, a world with no more night," I turn to him like I did the night that we confessed our love to each other. A love I believed was pure. Our love, it was innocent, our love from when we were just children. He took care of me he never gave up on me.
"And you, always beside me, to hold me and to hide me," a gentle smile appears on my face.

"Then say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime!" He takes my hand and twirls me around to face him. I laugh as he held me in his arms like that night on the roof. "Let me lead you from your solitude," I place my head against his chest as he softly sings, "Say you need me with you here, beside you, anywhere you go, let me go too," He pulls me back and whispers, "Christine, that's all I ask of you."

"Say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime," I turn and place my back against Raoul as he put his arms around my waist and kisses my curls.
"Say the word and I will follow you," I turn around to hold both of his hands as we sang in unison.

"Share each day with me, each night, each morning!" We sang aloud with so much pride.

"Say you love me," I step closer to Raoul looking up to him.

"You know I do," he grips my shoulder as we sang again.

"Love me, that's all I ask of you," I look into Raoul's eyes. This was Raoul. The man I believed I loved. He took care of me. He risked his life believing Erik was a threat to me. He loved me. He wanted to give me everything. We both smiled as he gently put one hand on my waist and our lips touched ever so slightly. Raoul lifted me in his arms and twirled me around. We both laughed and he finally set me to the ground. We kissed more assurance this time before he took my hands and we sang once again.

"Anywhere you go, let me go too!" We took a step closer to each other as we sang the last part.
"Love me, that's all I ask of you."

The crowd began to whistle and applaud loudly. I suddenly realized Raoul and I were too close to one another, staring at each other to what seemed to be an eternity. He takes one of my hands as we bow together. The orchestra begins to play a different song as we bowed. I look for Jack and find him looking down at his drink. I needed to speak with him later. I felt suddenly so guilty for what had happened. He must've thought what I did wasn't acting. I mean it was acting, most of it. I shake my head and smile to the crowd. Raoul gave the orchestra a strange look.

"What's wrong?" I whispered looking out and smiling to the crowd.

"Stay here Lotte, I need to see what's going on," Raoul walked to the right of me but I placed my hand on his arm.

"Raoul," I looked at him with worried eyes.

"Everything is alright just keep greeting the crowd. He ran up the stairs as I turned and smiled at the crowd.

The orchestra played our tune. The night he took me to his lair.

I look up at the orchestra and look out to the crowd as I sang in a much higher range.

"In sleep he sang to me, in dreams he came," I turn to walk towards the stairs, "that voice which calls to me, and speaks my name."

I don't know what it was that made me turn around. My heart, my mind, did I just know? Everything went in slow motion. As I sang the last notes of the phrase I turn around and my breath caught.

Him. I gasped loudly and let out a cry as I stood in shock. I nearly fell the ground but held onto the railing of the staircase. It was him.

Angel.

He was alive.

My angel of music.

Erik.

My Erik.

The world began to twirl around me as I saw nothing but black.

Erik POV

Once Vicomte left the platform I snuck through the corridors and hallways. Nadir began to play the song, familiar to the one my Christine and I sang as we ventured to my lair. She stood there confused yet she still looked so beautiful.

"In sleep he sang to me in dreams he came," she began to walk away as I came down the stairs.

"That voice which calls to me and speaks my name," I stood on the last step as she turned around gasping and sobbing aloud.

Her eyes were filled with shock and horror. She placed a hand to her stomach before falling. I was in time to catch her as she fell. She was in my arms once again. It felt so right. I placed her on the staircase as I looked upon her face. She looked the same like the night she came to me. She looks more mature yet hasn't aged one bit. Out of the corner of my eye the crowd looked dazed of what has happened. No one screamed thank goodness meaning I could go on with our performance, well, when my love awakens.
