Rose was peacefully in bed, covers raised to her chin. A look of ethereal bliss on her face as she indulge in the sweet lull of beautiful, precious sleep.Then a huge bang was heard from down the corridor, making Rose pop her eyes open. She sat up so fast that her stuffed Totoro was sent flying. Rose payed no mind to her abused Neighbor Totoro, as she stood up and quietly made her way to the kitchen. Rose's eyebrows crinkled together, as she softly called out," Hello? Jeremy? Aunty Jen? Hello? Lena?" Rose ran her hand up the side of the wall to flip the light switches on, but she was not lucky, the power was out. A chill spilled down her spine like a cube of ice, her heart was pounding as fast as a cheetah on the hunt. Rose felt like she was being stalked, like she was being hunted down.

The television set suddenly turned on and Logan Fell appeared in front of Mystic Falls High," This is Logan Fell coming to you live from the streets of Mystic Falls with breaking news of another deadly animal attack. The wild animal terrorizing the citizens of Mystic Falls has claimed another victim, local high school student Elena Gilbert-" Rose's eyes widened in horror and tears flooded her eyes, her world went crashing down, her other half was dead, in cold blood."along with  her twin sister Rosealia Gilbert. Police are certain that forensic evidence will confirm that this is the same animal responsible for recent attacks." In the background their were crying teens and adults: Caroline was wailing, Bonnie was hugging Aunt Jenna, Matt, Jeremy, and Tyler were in tears looking away from the small memorial, with a small shrine that had a picture of the two girls, Elena was smiling for once.

 Rose's blood went cold,her fingers became numb, her mind retching in the reality of her situation.

DEAD.

DEAD.

DEAD.

DEAD!

Then she felt a sensation, that pulled her out of her shocked stupor. An arm wrapped around her waist, coiled around her hips like a snake, perfectly shaped in to the curve of her hips, as if the person's arm was created to be placed around her hips. Lip pressed to her temple in a chaste kiss, and teasingly traveling over her skin to her ear, lightly skimming her skin with his moist lips. Purposely blowing hot fiery puffs of air to brush her ear as he spoke," You know what's coming next little lovely Rose." Rose stood still, it was like she was anchored to the ground. Her heart was beating 10,000 beats per second. The vein located in her neck pulsed with adrenaline, sweat beads forming on her forehead, and her hands were clenched in to fists. 

Damon gently pulled her head back, exposing her lovely smooth neck to him. Damon's mouth watered as the heavenly scent, that was too pure and fragrant to be put in to words, but can only be described as Rose's natural scent, wafted in to his nose. His eyes changed to reflect his true nature, to show just how hungry he was, he wanted to ravish her and drain her dry. But with such care and tenderness, Damon graced Rose's olive toned skin with a chaste kiss, then he slowly licked the area, to moisten her skin, so the puncture wound wouldn't hurt as much. Finally, Damon plunged his fangs into her neck, earning a cry of pain. 

Now what seemed like hours, but was really only seconds, Damon hesitantly pulled away and looked at Rose, who looked pale and scared, with a mischievous glint in his eyes. He raised his wrist to his lips, and harshly plunged his fangs in his veins, immediately drawing blood. He sucked his blood from the vein, and forcefully grabbed Rose's chin, bringing her to him. He smacked his lips to hers, forcefully transferring the blood from his mouth to hers.Damon slowly pulled away, and stared into Rose's wide scared eyes. Damon kissed her lips one last time, savoring the warmth that will soon be gone, then he snapped her neck with a'Pop', beginning her transition to an eternity on Earth, by his side.
