Lullaby. The one my mother use to sing to me when I was afraid of the monsters hidden within the closet of mystery's in the corner of my small, empty room. It went something like...

"Sleep little baby, close your eyes."

"Don't be afraid, the monster are a lie."

"Hush little baby, cover up tonight."

"No monsters will be lurking here in sight."

"Don't cry little baby, momma's right here by your side."

"The monsters are a lie, so try not to hide."

"Goodnight little baby, please go to sleep."

"Monsters will never interfere, as you are mine to keep."

It was clear as day that the lullaby I remembered was playing within my mind. But I didn't understand, which monsters am I afraid of?

~

10:24 am.

I awoke from a slumber that seemed to me like it was forever, my body lifting from the ground. It didn't take me long to realize all my clothing was gone, and I couldn't remember why. I didn't remember much, but I know that Oliver was...

Oliver was trying to get in my pants.

Did he?

I remember passing out because of how roughly he slammed me onto the ground, causing my head to hit a rock. I placed my fingers upon my head, feeling around for the wound when I realized, it was all fixed up. Cleaned and everything.

I couldn't understand what was going on, and if I had just been raped from a vampire. I wrapped my arms around my legs, as I buried my face within them, listening to the waves wash up to shore and bird singing in joy.

I squeezed my knees within my hands very tightly in aggravation, as I finally heard something else. A voice. I lifted my head up once I heard it again, and it was saying my name. Maven stood there with a questioning look upon his face and once he realized it was me, he was by my side in a quick second.

"What happened?"
"Are you okay?"
"Who did this?"

"I'll hunt them down and fucking rip her head off." Maven said angrily and I've never seen him in such a bad mood, so I quick to cling to him, burying my face within his neck.

"I'm fine, please... Take me back so I can get some clothing." I mumbled, as he lifted me up as if I was a bride. For the walk back, it was completely silent. I listened to the tree branches cracking underneath Maven's feet when I heard a crackling noise of a camp fire.

Maven set me down, and embraced me in a tight hug as I laughed a little "I need clothing okay, where is my brother?" I question, gently rubbing his shoulders to relieve him from some of his stress.

"He's out looking for you in the other direction."

"Please go find him."

"I can't leave you again."
