Destiny

I blink hearing the lions roar. I see a shadow slowly coming out of the kitchen, a huge lion comes out on all fours walking towards me curiously sniffing at me. "Don't worry, he won't hurt you!" Beatrice informs me. I look up at hthe r then back at the lion. "Your telling me that this blood thirty beast doesn't want to hurt me?" She laughs "you do remember the picture right? He used to be a kitten! He may be a lion but he still acts like one!" I blink at the lion as it slowly approaches me. I hold out my hand for it to sniff, I don't know much about cats but I think they sniff hands. It walks closer to me and rubs its head on my hand purring like a kitten. Beatrice laughed "looks like he likes you!"

I look back at her and smile "you think so?" She smiles back and walks towards me putting her hand on my shoulder "it's very rare for him to like someone on the first day especially in this form, maybe it's because he senses your power" I blinks and shake my head "no I don't have any power....at least that's what I was always told.." Her smile fades to a frown and she takes my hand standing up, I stand up with her "let me tell you a story" she leads me out of the room opening a door that leads to a twisted path surrounded by space. At the end of the path I can partly see another door but most of it is blocked by mist. She starts to walk down the path beginning her story.

"Long ago, when we were normal and respected among humans and guardians. Everyone would see us not as monsters but as people. For a while we enjoyed being treated like this, it was nice" she paused letting out a big sigh "but then your sister took control. For some reason she didn't like us and took away our power banishing us to live in this isolation. Everyone forgot we existed making us loose our power even more. So now we look like this" I blink "I'm so sorry..." She turns around looking at me, smiling weakly "none of this is your fault if fact I think I know a way you could save us" I blink "but how can I do that? I told you I have no powers!" She kneels down and holds my hands "of course you have power, i can sense it's incredible aura...your a very rare guardian not many of them exist anymore, your mother passed her power onto you" she turns my hands over so my palms are facing up "I can show you your true power"
