I could hear Mrs Galloway in the background asking if I was okay. Lily dragged me into the wings and held my hands, helped me to breath more slowly, all whilst smiling in a caring and calming fashion. Mrs Galloway rushed over to us and spent a good three minutes checking if I was okay. In the meantime, Mrs Martin was using her favourite technique to get the rest of the room to stop talking so they could listen to her tips on reading Shakespeare:
"5, 4, 3, 2 ... library hush! Now everyone, just a tip for Shakespearean acting........"
I was fine. I walked back into the room and everyone turned to me. Mrs Galloway told me I didn't have to audition but I said I would do right there and then.
When I finished, everyone clapped me and Lily whispered to me that I 'SLAYED IT!' whatever the hell that means.
I think I did quite well but I can't really remember because it went like a blur. I guess life isn't so bad without Georgia.
