"Mercedes, to say that we were impressed of your in-ring skills, is an complete understatement. You did absolutely outstanding in this match. You and Gail had amazing chemistry in the ring.", John spoke up.

I had just finished my tryout match with Gail Kim, and the way this one is set up, is much more different.

"So Ms. Varnado, how would you like to become a member of the TNA Knockouts division?", John once again spoke.

Once those words exited his mouth, my heart fluttered, and my stomach was doing flips.

"Are you serious?! I've only had one try out?"

"Here at TNA, if we like your performance from the first try out we hire you. If we feel like you could work on some thing's, we call you in weeks time. I feel like you are ready for this now, would you agree?"

"Yes, I really do think I'm ready for this sir. I've worked really hard for this opportunity."

"OK Mercedes, welcome to TNA! Now, you will follow me to my office and I'll get that contract for you."

I followed him out of the arena to his office. I'm finally getting my moment. I gonna get to show the world what I'm made of.

"Alright Mercedes, this is a one year contract. For now, the contact is worth 60,000 dollars, but the amount can be renegotiated upon renewal. Take time to look over it and the details, and if everything looks good, you can sign it."

I scrolled my eyes through the contract, making sure I understand the terms, before I sign the deal.

"Do you need more time to sign? We can always call you back.", John asked.

"No thanks. I want to sign while I'm already here."

I took one last look at the contract, before I signed the dotted line.

I handed him the contact, and he smiled." Welcome to the Impact Roster Mercedes!"

"So do you know when I'll debut?", I asked, getting straight to the point.

"Well, we are in the process of hiring a new writer, and if they sign, we'll have him and the other writers come up with an angle for you, so you can return home for the time being, and we'll let you know when you'll be called in."

"Thank you so much!", I shook John's hand.

"You deserve it young lady. Make sure to keep this under wraps, we don't want anyone to know that you've signed with us."

"That's nothing to worry about sir."

I left his office, and leaned on a wall. I literally just had a tryout match, and got signed the same day, that's a blessing.

I can't wait to see what the future holds for me.

Grayson.

I flew back to Atlanta a few hours ago, and I was at my apartment in my thoughts.

Though I was excited for this huge opportunity to write amazing storylines and travel, I didn't want to move away from my home and relocate from what I've known all my life.

Mimi would have to leave her job, and knowing how she is, she wouldn't want to relocate and find another job.

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard keys shaking on the other side of the door.

"Here we go...", I mumbled

"So let me get this straight, you got offered a contract, but they want you to relocate?"

I swallowed hard."...Uh, yeah."

She smiled." That's great baby. I'm happy for you and all, but I'm loving my new job here, and that's why I think you should go."

"See, and that's wh-", I paused. " Wait, you think I should move to Tennessee? Without you?"

She smiled." Of course. It wouldn't be fair for me to get to live my life's dreams, and you don't. I know that a long distance relationship would be hard on the both of us since we've never really been apart, but if we both have that trust in each other, I think we could do it."

I moved closer to her, putting her hands in mine." I don't know if I can do this. Do you really think we can handle a long distance relationship?", I asked her, unsure of all of this.

"Yes I do. We can always fly back and forth to visit each other, whenever we are off from our jobs. Plus that means more money in the household, so just get a 1 bedroom rental apartment while you're there."

"Yeah, you have a really good point there. I think I'm ready to make my final decision now."

She looked up at me." And what's that?"

I took a deep breath, really thinking about the words that were about to leave my mouth.

"I'm going to sign the contract. I'll call him right now."

I took out my phone and proceeded to dial the number.

I'm ready to start this new chapter in my life. I have my relationship, and now I need to start my career.

This journey will be the ultimate test for me and what my future holds.
