It has been a month since TNA embarked on their annual UK tour, and things have definitely shaken up in the company.

As the weeks went on, the Beat The Champion Series saw Awesome Kong, Brooke, and Mercedes as the only ones to defeat the champion Taryn Terrell.

Mercedes would get the shot at gold, beating her fellow co-workers match times.

However, Mercedes chance of becoming champion would be halted, as things took a turn for the worst.

Impact Wrestling (March 2016)

"Tonight on Impact Wrestling, we will finally see the Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell take on the #1 contender, Mercedes KV!", Josh Matthews reports from the commentary table alongside Tazz."

"That's right Josh, and that match takes place, right now!"

"The following Knockouts match is set for one fall, and it it's for the TNA Knockouts Championship! Making her way to the ring, the challenger, from Boston, Massachusetts Mercedes KV!"

Mercedes struts down the ramp towards the ring, with confidence. She knew that she had to do her best in this angle.

Rumors begun to float around about Destination America being disappointed with TNA's ratings, and management has been hot on the creative team to make sure everything on TV pulls in viewers that got lost when they moved Destination America.

"And, from New Orleans, Louisiana she is your current TNA Knockouts Champion, Taryn Terrell!"

It is now the Louisiana born and bred Knockout's turn to enter the ring with the shiny gold above her head.

She finally makes it into the ring, and her and Mercedes have an epic stare down, before the match is under way.

The two begin to lock up aggressively, with Mercedes getting the upper hand .

She gives Taryn a knee to the face, and a simple headlock take down for a two count.

As the match progresses, Taryn is able to rake control with multiple head locks.

"Oh man! Taryn Terrell comes back with a devastating neckbreaker!" , Josh Matthews exclaimed.

"Taryn nearly tore off her head there!", Tazz now puts his two cents in.

It takes Mercedes awhile to recover, when she hits Taryn with a devastating round house kick to the face, setting up for her finish.

"Ouch! That roundhouse kick looked painful, and I think we all know what she is setting up for that wheelbarrow facebuster!"
