"So I was thinking that for the next tapings main event, we have Bobby Roode face Jeff Hardy, in a Full Metal Mayhem match.", David asked.

I am having a meeting with all the writers to discuss the upcoming storylines that we have planned.

The numbers for the debut episode of Impact on Destination America were released, and they weren't exactly the best.

We lost more than half of our viewing audience, and even though we predicted ratings to drop since we were on a smaller network, we weren't exactly expecting it to be that low.

We were working as hard as we could on these storylines and making sure the scripts are on point.

"Grayson, what do you think?", David Lagana, the head writer asked.

"I actually like the idea of the match. Both Roode and Hardy are hard workers, and the grit and physicality of a match like that, adds more of a personal feel to the feud."

He nodded."Very well spoken Grayson. Now, we need to discuss Taryn's feud with our newbie Mercedes."

He continued to speak. "I was thinking for today's tapings, we set up Gail & Mercedes vs. Taryn & Madison Rayne. The baby faces pick up the win. The next episode, Taryn will defend her title against Mercedes, where she will retain."

"That seems decent. How long are they going to feud."

He chuckled." That's it. After that, she's going to keep having feuds until she breaks the record in the summer."

I frowned." So Mercedes is just going to be on the back burner and have random matches. You have to keep a new star relevant, even if they don't have the title."

He sat up straight." OK. What do you suggest?"

" Have them feud for a month. After two losses, add someone to the feud for a triple threat, and keep it consistent until she does loose the title."

He smiled." That is good and all, but we want Taryn to hold the title for awhile."

I frowned." We?, How much longer?"

David shrugged."... Until her contract runs out."

I nearly cussed him out just now." I don't mind that you guys want her to be the longest reigning Knockouts Champion, but her keeping it until her contract runs out is a bit much. When does her contact end?"

He sighed.".... At the end of the year. It's believed that she is not re-signing, and she wants to stay champion until the end."

"Ok listen. I know that I'm new and all, but as I member of the writers team, I feel we should all agree on this."

"Everyone does agree with this.", He nonchalantly stated.

I crossed my arms." Really? I don't think so. I believe that you're speaking for them. I understand that you're the head writer, but we should still at least be in agreement."

"Is that true you guys? Do I speak for you?", David asked, speaking to the rest of the writers."

"Yeah, for the most part.", They all agreed.

He sighed."Look you guys, I apologize for that, I just assumed that you guys like those ideas. We are a team, and I should at least consider your opinions, even though I get the final say."

"Good. Now that we have that established, why are you so set on Taryn leaving the company with the belt?", I asked.

"Well, Taryn is known to get her way when it comes to her career, so she pretty much told us that if we go against that, we'll regret it."

I laughed." Seriously? You'll regret it? She could just be bluffing you guys."

"I'm not so sure about that. They say she is crazy, so I believe she's serious on her threats.", Justin, another writer, responded.

I fanned him off."Please, have her break the record if you or management wants to, not because she threatened you. You could always report her to TNA management."

"Yeah I know, but I just want to avoid any drama."

I put my hand on my forehead." Well don't report her, but we're going to write what we want to write, as well as what TNA management wants us to write. We don't follow instructions from talent."

David smiled." You are a bold one Grayson. You're never afraid to say what's on your mind. I like that, so with that being said, I'm leaving you in charge of the Knockouts title feud.

I nearly fell out of my chair when I heard those words leave Dave's mouth. He was leaving me in charge of a storyline... a storyline for a championship to be exact.

"But, he's literally only been here for a few weeks and you're leaving him in charge of a championship storyline!?", Justin asked.

"Yeah he's right, I don't think that'll be fair for me to be in charge of a major feud and I just got here.

He fanned us off." You guys will assist me with the other feuds, I'm leaving Grayson in charge of all things Knockouts for the time being. It'll give him the opportunity to prove to us he has the skills to write a really good story."

Everyone else agreed, and we moved on to the rest of the show script.

I couldn't believe that he left me in charge of this, but I will show them that this decision will not be a mistake.

We finally found out what Taryn meant when she said that she always gets her way.
