We pull up to the house that the party is being held at. I park my car and we get out as I lock the doors behind us. I put my keys into my hand purse and we walk up to the door. The porch light is on, but that's the only light that I can see. The rest of the house is dark, and had there been no music blaring from the inside and dozens of cars parked up and down the street, I would have thought that I was at the wrong house.

I open the door and notice there is a strobe light going on. It's flashing quickly and I start to get a little sick. The scent of alcohol reeks the air and the room is a little foggy, no doubt from the cannabis that is being passed around. I can see there's a set of stairs that lead up to god knows what. I turn to talk to Emily, but she's disappeared. Obviously pulled into the dance floor. I decide to find my way to the kitchen so I can get myself a glass of water.

There's actually a light in the kitchen, but it's a dim shade of blue so that it doesn't outshine anything. I walk over to the sink and pour myself a small glass of water. As I take a sip, I know he's here before he does anything. The hairs on the back of my neck stand up and my stomach twists into knots. The good kind though.

"So you finally decided to show up?" I smirk at Colby. He grins back at me and leans against the counter.

"Yeah, it got a little too boring upstairs." he sighs. "So many moans coming from the opposite bedrooms. I felt pretty lonely."

I roll my eyes and take another sip of my water. He raises an eyebrow.

"What?" I ask.

"I thought you weren't drinking?" he grins.

"It's water." I grin back.

"Mhm. Sure." I smile back at him and then set my cup in the sink. "You look very nice tonight." he says. I barely hear him over the roaring music. I don't know why, but I blush under his praise.

"It's not my doing. Emily dolled me up. I'm just the model."

He grins a lopsided grin. "Well you got the legs for it."

I roll my eyes and left a leg up. "These stubby things? Definitely." I grin at him.

He strides over to me with one step and before I know what's going on, my leg is wrapped around his waist and his hand is at the small of my back. My gray eyes are locked with his hazel ones and I feel my breath get a little heavy as my heartbeat quickens. His face is so close to mine that I can feel his breath fan against my lips. He looks me up and down and sighs.

"You are so lucky I'm sober."

"Why's that?" I ask.

"Because if I had any alcohol in me, I would fuck you."

My mouth drops as I stare at him. Did he really just say that? He smirks at me and lets my leg drop. He walks out of the kitchen without another word, leaving me speechless.

What just happened?

I straighten my dress and grab myself another glass of water. I might have just had one two minutes ago, but my throat is dry again. I gulp the water down and then walk back into the living room. The flashing has quickened and is flashing to the beat of the song. I recognize the beat instantly. The song 'I Love It' by Icona Pop is blaring. Yes it's an old song, but hey. It gets the blood pumping.

I feel a hand grab my arm and I turn to see my best friend grinning. I grin back at her.

"Let's dance." she shouts and I nod my head. We walk into the middle of the dance floor and start jumping up and down, our hands pumping in the air. My hair bounces around, but I don't care. This is the most fun I've had in awhile. As the song gets towards the end, I feel a little lightheaded. The room is slightly spinning because of all the flashing lights and the cannabis smoke. I stop as the song ends and slowly snake through the crowd of people. I decide that heading up to one of the rooms is probably a good idea so I make my way towards the stairs.
