The room was filled with merrily voices. Even with the variety of food laid out in front of her, today's win was enough to make her feel full. As Mika munched on a sushi, she noticed her teammates, Kianna and Tin laughing as they looked intently on a phone being passed on.
"ano nakakatawa?" Mika asked
"may meme ka kasi" Kianna said with her eyes squinted brought by her unending laughter
"pakita nga!" Mika said. She grabbed the phone just to see what the fuss was about
It was a photo of her reaction when she successfully single blocked "the" alyssa valdez.
"sayo ang revena, akin ang korona"
Mika let out a humble smile and returned the phone
"Yeye, kunwari ka pa hindi ka pa ano" Ara commented and gave mika a slight push
"diba nga sabi ko sa press con NO ISSUE" Mika joked
"we gotchu you yeye" Kim said proudly and gave a wink
"grabe ka captain. 13 points ka today samantalang si Valdez 11 lang ata" Ara said to Kim
"syempre mas importante kayo sa akin" Kim replied
Mika felt her phone ring from her pocket. She took a glimpse and was quick to leave her seat.
"san ka punta ate ye?" Kianna asked
"tumatawag lang thesismates ko" Mika said defensively and started walking
"kelan mo naging thesismate si number 12?" Ara said under her breath
"kelan mo naging coursemate si 12?" Carol joined in
"ang tanong, kelan ka nagkaroon ng thesismate???" Mika E joked.
Mika stopped walking and turned around. She gave Ara a dagger look. She was puzzled how she even knew it was him. Ara gave a shrug and continued eating her sushi. Mika proceeded to the door.
"hello" Mika answered
"conrgrats idol!"
"thanks idol!!" Mika said in a rather raspy voice
"grabe idol? You're paos na?"
"I was too busy celebrating kasi"
"weh I bet you reveled in that single block a little too much. Ayan tuloy you're paos"
"grabe that's what everyone's talking about. Move on na kasi tayo idol"
"alright alright! If you say so Miks"
They both fell silent. Mika clutched her phone a little tighter and had her freehand cover her quivering mouth.
"Hey Josh?"
"yeah?"
"I miss you"
"I miss you too"
